WWE Backlash 2000
Released in VHS Tape by Sony Wonder (27 June, 2000)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Triple H
Average review score:

4.5's, 5's? Backlash 2000 Was Average at best...
Well, since WWE has kicked the 'F' out of their name and introducing more wrestling to the shows and outstanding matches on PPV. I have come back to watch Backlash 2000 and found it very interesting that everyone was giving this show a 4 rating and higher. This is a pay per view that was basically all focused on the main event and the return of Austin (which was planned real nicely, I should add) and the undercard was filled with lackluster non-rocketbuster match-ups. Please do not look at the other reviews from the past because my review is in 2003 and I have since then seen much better PPV's and matches that would blow this out of the water.

1. WWF Tag Team Title Match - Edge & Christian vs. Road Dogg & X-Pac with Tori. This match was fairly good but these are nowhere comparable to the matches I see on Smackdown every week with Los Guerreros and Team Angle, not to mention Edge and Christians other infamous matches involving Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. Debra comes out first and does the ring introductions, why? Have no damn clue, I guess it was just a way to show her beautiful puppies, which by the way looked great tonight overshadowed by her whole great outfit - Nevertheless, Debra looked HOT tonight! Anyway, lucky her looks were up to par because her ringside introductions were not. She has an annoying voice that didn't help her introduce these men, something that WWE found out with Stacey Keibler when she was used as the ring introducer for when WCW was used in the main event of Raw - Remember? Booker T vs. Buff Bagwell - UGH!... Anyway, back to the match, X-Pac looks great here tonight, this was before he just quit trying to impress and entertain the audience. I give the match a 3/5.

2. WWF Light Heavyweight Title Match: Dean Malenko vs. Scotty Too Hotty. Before ECW went bankrupt, Before WCW was sold, Before the Invasion, Before Tajiri, Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, Shannon Moore, Chavo Guerrero, Before the Cruiserweight Division would kick-started and the Light heavyweight Division was revamped, This match was said to have been the best WWF Light Heavyweight Championship match. Well, knowing this and that Stone Cold returned on this night, along with the Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho match - I Bought the video. These 3 reasons I bought this damn event on WWF Home Video. This match was... Horrid and I am ashamed at everyone who thought this match was great. This match was so below par to what NWA: TNA is doing with the X-Division, what WCW did with their Cruiserweight Division and even what WWE is doing with their Cruiserweight Division, now. Dean Malenko, "A Man of a Thousand Moves", couldn't even carry Scotty 2 Hotty to a half-way decent match. This is a cruiserweight match that consisted of 3 cruiserweight moves - A Variation Arm Drag - Done right away to start the match. 2. A Tiger Driver - Done by Dean Malenko half-way threw the match. 3. A Top Rope DDT to finish the match. Dean Malenko put on some incredible matches with Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero, not to mention his great matches with Rey Mysterio, jr. Doesn't make any sense to me. 2/5.

3. Big Boss Man & Bull Buchanan vs. Acolytes. On the VHS, this match is billed as the first match of the evening. Well, it's actually the third match on the tape. Read who's in the match. Argh - Ditto. 1.5/5

4. WWF Hardcore Title Match: Champion Crash Holly vs. Tazz vs. Perry Saturn vs. Hardcore Holly vs. Hardy Boyz. Thank God for this match, this was a very fun and entertaining Hardcore Title match, of course this title is no longer apart of the WWE anymore, along with the Light Heavyweight Title, European Championship and Intercontinental Championship but this match was still great. It's sad seeing one of the best Champions ever, Taz(z), being downgraded a few weeks into his WWF mainstay. 3.5/5

5. "The Showster" Big Show vs. Kurt Angle. The Big Show is pretty hilarious in this match and the fans were totally into it too. Big Show looked rediculous but sounded just like Hogan! =========
Crowd Participation = 4/5
Match Grade = DUD/5
Entertainment Value = Priceless
=========

6. T&A with Trish Stratus vs. Dudley Boyz. WOW is Trish Stratus hot! OK match with a great ending - WOOD! 2.5/5.

7. WWF European Title Match: Eddie Guerrero with Chyna vs. Essa Rios with Lita. This match is great and this SHOULD have been the Light Heavyweight Title match because it was some great high-flying action. Essa Rios takes a big Asai Moonsault to the outside and lands on the announcers table - Ouch! Chyna and Lita get involved - sorta. Chyna dominates like a man she wants not to be but still acts like one. Two weak punches by her to make Essa Rios go down twice. 4/5.

8. WWF Intercontinental Title Match: Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho. Great match here but a bad ending to the match. Very hard chops during the course of the match but for some reason I think both were holding back because they could have done much better with the ability they both posses. 4/5.

9. WWF Championship Match: Champion Triple H with Vince & Stephanie McMahon vs. The Rock with Steve Austin. Special Referee: Shane McMahon. One of the greatest booked main events of all time. Match told a hell of a story with Vince, Shane, The Stooges, Stephanie and Trips trying to cheat Rock out of the title win and get Triple H to stay Champion. Well, just when the ending seems near, Austins music hits - Place erupts - and he comes out and turns the tide. Great match and booking. 4.5/5 - 0.5 for the return of Austin.

All in all a good ppv but not even that great. I would rent it and take 2 VCRS and copy it. I don't recommed it to be bought for a rediculous price of 15+ dollars.

WWF Backlash is just what the name says
This was a good PPV. It did have some weak parts to it, but in general it was good. I would reccommend this to anyone. Matches include: 1. Tag Team title match: Edge & Christian vs. Road Dogg & X-Pac w/ Tori. 2. Light Heavyweight Title match: Dean Malenko vs. Scotty 2 Hotty. 3. Big Bossman & Bull Buchanan vs. Acolytes. 4. Hardcore Title match: Tazz vs. Perry Saturn vs. Hardcore Holly vs. Matt & Jeff Hardy vs. Crash Holly. 5. Big Show vs. Kurt Angle. 6. T&A w/ Trish Stratus vs. Dudley Boyz. 7. Eurpean Title match: Eddie Guerrero w/ Chyna vs. Essa Rios w/ Lita. 8. Intercontinental Title match: Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho. 9. WWF Title match: Triple H w/ Vince McMahon vs The Rock w/ Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Backlash 2000
This PPV was great! It opened up with Edge and Christian vs. DX (Road Dogg & X-Pac) for the Tag Team Titles. Next was Dean Malenko vs. Scotty 2 Hotty for the Light Heavyweight Title. The Acolytes faced the Big Bossman and Bull Buchanan in a match that was a complete waste of time. In an excellent 6-way Hardcore Match, Crash Holly defended his Hardcore belt against Perry Saturn, Tazz, Hardcore Holly, Matt Hardy, and Jeff Hardy. Kurt Angle faced against The Big Show, who was imatating Hulk Hogan, in an OK match. T & A faced the Dudley Boyz in an OK match, and Buh Buh Ray finally puts Trish Stratus through a table. Eddy Guerrero puts his European title on the line against Essa Rios in a cool match. Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho for the IC belt was excellent, although the ending should have been better. Finally, Triple H defends the WWF title against The Rock, with Shane McMahon as the referee. Stone Cold returns for one night only during this match, and that would be a good enough reason to buy this PPV.

Rock 'n' Roll High School
Released in VHS Tape by New Concorde Home Video (28 August, 2001)
MPAA Rating: PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Directors: Jerry Zucker, Allan Arkush, and Joe Dante
Starring: P.J. Soles and Vincent Van Patten
"Do your parents know you're Ramones?" With those withering words, Miss Togar (Mary Woronov), the uptight neofascist principal of Vince Lombardi High School, addresses the four mop-haired, leather-jacketed members of America's first and most famous punk band. And you know it won't be long before the Ramones's jackhammer riffs are blaring through the public address system at maximum volume, the kids are running--not walking--wild in the hallways (without passes!), and Miss Togar's gulag is re-christened "Rock 'n' Roll High School." Then, in keeping with the outrageously nihilistic animus of punk, the high school students and the Ramones just blow the place to smithereens. It's a crowd- pleasing, fantasy-fulfillment climax that combines the apocalyptic finale of Michelangelo Antonioni's Zabriskie Point with the explosive conclusion of Alice Cooper's "School's Out." Rock 'n' Roll High School is a blast, a goofy and liberating salute to the rebel spirit behind the teen rock & roll movies of the 1950s, which always pitted the kids' insatiable appetite for fun against the adults' fear-based authoritarianism. The film is emblematic of the disarmingly silly, tongue-in-cheek humor of the youth-oriented B-pictures cranked out in the '50s and '60s by renowned low-budget exploitation mogul Roger Corman (who gave many a hungry young filmmaker, including the creators of this film, their start in the biz), and of the noisy, anarchic energy of '70s punk rock, as personified by the inimitable Ramones. In the words of the maestros' beach-blanket-buzz-saw title anthem, this movie is "Fun, fun, oh baby, fun, fun..." --Jim Emerson
Average review score:

RAMONES leave home...detention! detention!...
Rock 'n Roll highschool... searched for it for years and found it finally in a city called New York or something. The best movie ever made for die-hard RAMONES fans, not for those who just know the song R&R Highschool from the charts of 1980 'cause they're not "in the pit". They'll just don't understand the fun and excitement a true RAMONES fan will get by seeing Dee Dee eating pizza or Joey eating vegetables. But like I said... great movie for 'animal boys and girls'.

Fantastic! A Classic! One of the best ROCK movies ever!
The Ramones, PJ Soles, a host of "B" movie regulars (including Clint Howard) - how could this movie miss? It's excellent, a classic rock and roll movie with GREAT music from the Ramones. Many of the songs are from their "Road To Ruin" album, also highly recommended!

Oh Joey!!!
I have loved this movie since being the age of four, since then it has been crimped hair and leather jackets all the way. I was a playground punk at the age of five, and by the age of six my whole family called me Riff.
This movie has been the frame of my life, from the first time i saw it I have been in love with Joey. I am now in High School, and none of my friends are familiar with The Ramones, yet I am still hopelessly devoted to them.
If you dont like the Ramones, you will after you have watched the movie. If you do like them, watching this will make you like them even more! It's funny, kinda cool and the music rocks!!! It tells the story of Riff Randall, the Ramones' number one fan, who will go to any lengths to defend them, AND MEET THEM!

Boomerang
Released in VHS Tape by Paramount Studio (19 August, 2003)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Reginald Hudlin
Starring: Eddie Murphy
Eddie Murphy makes a graceless debut as a romantic lead in this comedy from Reginald Hudlin. Murphy stars as a ladies man for whom the tables turn when he suddenly finds himself taken for granted by a lover (Robin Givens). Meanwhile, the platonic friend (Halle Berry) whom Murphy regularly visits is obviously--to the viewer, anyway--the woman he's supposed to be with. The absurdly long film is filled out with some fairly crude humor, such as the sight of Geoffrey Holder taking a whiff of Grace Jones's underwear. Yet Hudlin and Murphy also strain for a veneer of elegance and sophistication. Wanting to play it both ways, they end up with nothing. But there are several good sequences where Murphy is quite funny just being Murphy, such as his explanation to Berry of how you can tell which characters in an old episode of Star Trek are destined to die. --Tom Keogh

Divas galore
Although Eddie Murphy is the star of "Boomerang", it's the ladies in the film who steal the show. Eddie plays Marcus, a smooth cosmetic company ad exec who is used to loving and leaving the ladies he dates. But when he meets Jaqueline (Robin Givens), who treats him as disposably as he usually treats women, the tables are turned. Givens is great playing a ballbusting ice queen, and Halle Berry is sweet and endearing as the platonic friend who Eddie eventually falls for. Grace Jones is absolutely hysterical as a crazed celebrity hired to promote a new perfume, and Eartha Kitt is also funny as the aging cosmetic company's founder. Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, and David Alan Grier all also have supporting roles, but they all play second fiddle to the army of divas in this film.

Eddie Murphy at His Best
I'm so glad they finally decided to release a DVD version of Boomerang. I have the VHS version but I am sure to buy the DVD. Boomerang is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's a great love story and a wonderful depiction of how a dog gets dogged. Eddie plays the dog and Robin Givens plays the dogette. If you can get over the fact that she was once married to Mike Tyson you will see a wonderful portrayal of her character. Halle Berry makes a not so glamarous showing but is quite stunning to say the least. It's the first time you see Halle's personality and not just her looks. She not just a made up face but has substance. The cast is great and soundtrack is off-da-hook. This is by far some of Eddie's best work. He is funny, charming, and looks mighty fine in this movie. Be sure to buy the DVD when it is released. You will be pleasantly surprised. It's one for every African American Movie Collection.

The BEST movie ever made!
Yes you read right, this is the best movie ever (at least to me)! Boomerang is about a player Marcus Gram(Eddie Murphy) who finally meets his match when he falls for a lovely woman named Jaqueline Broyer(Robin Givens). Everything that he did to women in the past all comes back to him, hence the title Boomerang(get it?). The supporting cast is as good as they come, they gel very good together, which include:Halley Barry, David Allan Grier, Martin Lawrence,Chris Rock,Ertha Kitt, etc(theres alot!). You'll see what I mean when you watch certain scenes like when Marcus and his friends are at dinner talking about women or working out talking about girls, its funny because it just seems like your there listening to friends really talking about that stuff. Theres also the dinner scene which is really good and funny! Mix that with a still to this day awesome soundtrack and yes you read right its the best movie ever made! Don't believe me, then go rent the video, but make sure to come back and buy it and dont say I didnt tell you so.

Music in High Places - Goo Goo Dolls (Live in Alaska)
Released in VHS Tape by Image Entertainment (18 March, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: Alan Carter (II)
Average review score:

Great scenery, solid acoustic performances make this work
Unlike most live CD's/DVD's this one is very different. The reviews from other readers were very helpful: I have a large screen and surround and the review was dead on - the scenes of Alaska are awesome and the Johnny Reznik is talented enough to pull off their best tunes from their latest project acoustically. Don't expect a typical concert - basically the Goo's and a guitar... much time is spent showing them touring Alaska - but if you are a fan it makes you feel like your hanging out with the boys. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars? Surprisingly, they don't perform "Iris" or "Name" - songs which would seem to be easier to pull off acoustically and are their best sellers. If you are a fan, enjoy cool scenery, and can live with only 7 songs (mostly from "Gutter Flower"), it's worth having in the collection.

Goos in Alaska: Breathtaking Scenery & Music
This DVD is spectacular, with its views of Alaska's ice glaciers, snow covered mountains and clear blue skies. John, Robby and Mike were so personable with the people of Alaska. Their honesty and down-to-earth personalities made it very enjoyable to watch. The best part, of course, was listening to John sing the Goo Goo Dolls most popular songs, like Black Balloon, Slide and the MOST awesome version of "Here is Gone". If you have DTS on your sound system, it will give you goosebumps. You don't have to be just a Goo fan to enjoy this DVD - it is awesome and worth getting!

Goo Goo Dolls ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is by far the best DVD ever made. The Goo's did such an excellent job playing their songs. They are superior musicians and have tons of talent. You can tell that they had so much fun being there and they were so themselves. The scenery of Alaska was absolutely breathtaking and unbelievable. So unreal. I highly recommend this to any Goo Goo Dolls fan out there. You will not be disappointed. John, Robby, and Mike, you guys are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WWE Royal Rumble 2002
Released in VHS Tape by Sony Wonder (12 March, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Average review score:

Best WWF Royal Rumbe in years!
What a great WWF Royal Rumble this was. If only the WWF would stop putting those stupid women's division matches on major events, it could have been perfect.
The Royal Rumble match was the best in a long time. It was very exciting to watch. Look at the names who participated in the Royal Rumble match this year and you'll understand why: Steve Austin, Triple H, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, Kane, Booker T and a returning Curt Hennig, also known as Mr. Perfect.
All these superstars gave a tremendous effort in the Rumble match and made it one of the best and most exciting in many years.
About the championship match - Chris Jericho defends against The Rock - personally I don't think these two are great wrestlers, but they sure know how to make a great and excting match.
The rest of the card is pretty average, but this event is worth buying for the these 2 matches alone, also because they took most of the event's time.

Royal Rumble 2002 Review
I saw this event live on PPV and let me tell you, it is one of the better Royal Rumble events ever put together. Featured matchups are:

The Rock vs. Chris Jericho for the Undisputed WWF Championship

Edge vs. William Regal for the Intercontinental Title

Spike Dudley & Tazz defend the WWF Tag Team Championship against The Dudley Boyz

Jazz challenges Trish Stratus for the Women's Title

Ric Flair vs. Vince McMahon in a street fight

And the Royal Rumble Match which features the likes of Stone Cold, Triple H, Rob Van Dam, The Undertaker, Booker T and Kane in perhaps the most star-studded Royal Rumble match of all time.

Royal Rumble 2002-Great start for the year
This was the best rumble I have seen no doubt, but there are a few minor problems with the DVD that I will get into after I review the matches.

1.WWF Tag Team Championship
Champions Tazz and Spike Dudly Vs. The Dudly Boyz
2.5 stars out of 5. Good opener a little dissapointing because of it's length but none the less good match with an exciting ending.

2.WWF Intercontinental Championship
Champion Egde Vs. William Regal
2.5 stars out of 5 Another good match, these two have been fueding for quite some time now and it gets even better here. nice match with some high spots but a terrible ending resulting in William Regal using those damn brass knuckles to win the Intercontinental title.

3.WWF Woman's Championship
Champion Trish Vs. Jazz
2 stars out of 5 Like every women's title match at the royal rumble the dud match of the night, certainly a better bout then last years Chyna Vs.Ivory.

4.Street Fight
Vince Mcmahon Vs. Ric Flair
4 out of 5 stars great match but very slow and one sided, the funny thing about this match is that Ric Flair is suppose to be all mighty wrestler but Vince is in much better shape then him, Vince kicks Flair's ass all match untill the end where Flair finally mounts some offense and locks the figure four leg lock on and wins by submission.

5.WWF Undisputed Championship
Champion Chris Jericho Vs. The Rock
4.5 stars out of 5 Great Match with a some nice high spots and a poor ending. Jericho trys to Rock bottom the rock through an annonuce table but Rock counters and Rock bottoms Jericho through the opposite table. Very sweet lol. Jericho wins by slamming rocks head off of the exposed turn buckle and then rolling him up and putting his feet on the ropes for extra leverage.

6. Royal Rumble 2002 Winner gets a Undisputed title shot at Wrestlemania X-8
5 out of 5 stars Obviously the match we've been waiting for all night and It didn't dissapoint. In the Rumble Goldust, Val Venis, Godfather, and MR. Perfect, all make a return to action. the contest starts off with Rikishi and Goldust, There ar ea few people in the ring when the Undertaker comes out and absolutly destroys the competition, When Taker is all alone Maven comes out, to get picked apart but the Hardyz distract Taker and Maven drop kicks Taker over the top rope! Maven eliminates The Undertaker lol. Undertaker can't believe it and smacks Maven in the head with a chair and continues to beat him....the game comes out and it gets interesting, the game and Austin beat[s] ...out of each other. eventually Austin gets eliminated by Angle and Mr. Perfect "big bummer" when it is down to HHH and Angle, angle thinks he won but triple H's feet didn't touch the floor so HHH comes back in and clotheslines Angle over the top to win, Let the Game begin...Awesome Rumble best ever by far.

DVD Extras:Exclusive Interviews with Goldust, Venis, Godfather, and Mr. Perfect after the Rumble.Spike and Tazz review there match.
Kurt Angle and Stone Cold promos.
And Triple H's return to the WWF in Madison Square Garden

Now a few weird minor problems with Royal Rumble 2002
when they released it on DVD they totally took out the theme song ...and put something made up over it, This[is bad]cuz it totally ruins the Royal Rumble Promo when Austin keeps saying What? where the song says the say I'm cocky and I say What?....also they took edges new theme changed that back, Undertakers Theme changed that to soemthing I've never heard, and took RVDs theme and switched that to the original. Whats going on???

Overall Great PPV great start for 2002 hope my review helped you decide wheather to buy this DVD or not.

Chris Rock - Bigger and Blacker
Released in VHS Tape by Hbo Studios (04 February, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Chris Rock
Comedian Chris Rock makes a raucous return to his stand-up roots in this HBO special filmed at Harlem's legendary Apollo Theater. Despite his manic and profane delivery, Rock's comedy is often rooted in traditional subjects for comedians: family relationships, misunderstandings between men and women, and observations on how childhood has changed. But he takes his material right to the edge, proving himself to be a sharp-eyed satirist. Serious and timely issues, such as school shootings or children being neglected by partying parents, are tackled by Rock, who's not afraid to slip in a serious point while being hysterically funny. His defense of President Clinton against his accusers is a good example of how Rock's material is almost always bound to offend someone: he slices through the self-righteous rhetoric of the impeachment spectacle, but even the behavior he defends comes in for ridicule with jokes that are extremely funny as well as extremely coarse. The pace of this one-hour show is uneven, and some viewers will no doubt find Rock's penchant for using profanity as punctuation tiresome. But those who like intelligent comedy with a hard edge will find much to laugh at in Chris Rock: Bigger and Blacker. -- Robert J. McNamara
Average review score:

Incredible Performance By Chris Rock
This was just an absolute delight to watch. Chris Rock comes at you with topic after topic and always blends everything smoothly together(like the Ricky Martin livin' la vita loca and the robotusim jokes throughout the night). This is a top notch performance from a top notch comedian. Even if you're not a Chris Rock fan you must respect his work on "Bigger & Blacker". His presence on the stage is incredible and his performance is even more spectacular. Chris Rock is a very intelligent comedian that shows you a vision of the world we tend to hide or ignore. After seeing this show so many times I started to ask myself how can he remember and deliever his act so smoothly. It seems like as if Chris Rock is having a regular conversation with the crowd as he performs on stage. Chris tackles enough issues in this show to have everyone (black or white)to relate to the material in some way. There is no doubt about it, this DVD is great and if you didn't see it on HBO or home video then you need to pick up this DVD. The price on this DVD is good but the show itself is great. A Must have for true fans of comedy. ( intellectual or silly )

Rock On!
Chris Rock follows up his 1996 hit "Bring the Pain" with another hilarious 1-hr routine. As always, Chris serves up his brutally honest opinions on the social and political nightmares we live in today. In this performance you'll find him tackling school gun violence, the plight of Native Americans, Ricky Martin, delinquent parents, racism, police brutality, incurable diseases, taxes, and a host of other issues. What makes Chris Rock so hilarious is that his commentary not only rings true but hits upon feelings and thoughts most of us have but are often afraid to express in today's "politically correct" atmosphere. Plus, Chris' naturally funny-looking physical appearance adds color to his performance. As with many other comedians, Chris Rock ends up spending a great deal of time on cliche comedian fodder such as sex and man-woman relationships. Thankfully, Chris Rock has managed to avoid tired old jokes and put hilarious new spins on these topics.

If you want intelligent comedy, this is the video for you! However, be forewarned that Chris Rock has a penchant for using the "f" word when emphasizing points, which some may find annoying after a while, and he is bound to say something that may offend someone. Nonetheless, I think that's what makes Chris Rock great and universal. Although Chris caters to an African-American audience, he ultimately has ideas that speaks to all segments of society- conservatives, liberals, white/black/asian/latino, homosexual, religious, non-religious, etc. A view that one segment of society finds appealing is bound to be held in disdain by another.

I must admit, in the past year that I've become a Chris Rock fan, I've found it difficult to watch other comedians. Few are as hard-hitting as Chris Rock. Get this video to see what I mean! While you are at it, get "Bring the Pain"- this one packs even more punch than "Bigger and Blacker".

Funniest Comedian of this Time
Chris Rock is by far the funniest guy of today. This dvd should be bought by anyone who likes comedy. I would put everything I own on you finding this dvd hilarious. The whole disc is so brutally honest, it is refreshing to see someone with the intelligence and wit to deliver the material. I beg you all even if you haven't yet seen Chris Rock, buy this dvd. I guarantee that you will be hooked after witnessing just five minutes from the genious that is Chris Rock.

Celine Dion - All the Way... A Decade of Song & Video
Released in VHS Tape by Sony/550 (20 February, 2001)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
It's clear from the live performances on All the Way... A Decade of Song & Video that Celine Dion's audiences adore her. And what's not to adore? She's beautiful, talented, and--corny as it sounds--seems really nice. This 90-minute compilation features 12 videos and five live songs illustrating the French-Canadian singer's transformation from a perky teen to a sophisticated international star. In the early '90s, Dion sang boppy tunes such as "Mislead" and "Love Can Move Mountains." The mid-decade Dion (decidedly sexier) is represented by "Because You Loved Me," "The Power of Love," and "It's All Coming Back to Me Now." Her soaring voice is powerful and poignant, reminding us why Titanic's "My Heart Will Go On" became such a huge hit. The compilation is ballad-heavy, but her last video of the decade, "That's the Way It Is," marks a welcome return to her earlier, sassier manner. --Dana Van Nest
Average review score:

a pleasant collection...
from a very wonderful vocal performer. Her videos aren't very inventive, but watching her in interviews...her personality, her charm, her humor is why I enjoy watching her videos-she shows a lot of respect and grace. And this is why I gave the video collection a 5. Not to mention this collection stems from the A Decade of Song cd...which has all of her hits on it, plus new tracks. 'Memorial tunes from movies and personal 'times' within yourself will take you back to that moment that you heard the song.

She's top on my list of vocal performers and I'm pleased to hear that she's coming back with new material. Those who like vocal performers, I doubt will be able to get enough songs from the vocal 'diva'. Those who like Celine Dion will enjoy this collection and I highly recommend it to those who enjoy music of the vocal nature!!

Wondeful collection but...
Celine Dion has graced the music industry for over ten years now. She has managed to reach the top of Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart in four occasions, and four of her albums have reached #1 on the Billboard 200. Celine has already sold more than 120 million albums and singles worldwide, won Grammy Awards, sang at the Academy Awards five times... the list could go on and on. There were just two things missing but fortunately they have already occurred. She just gave birth to her first child, and a very long-awaited video collection has been issued. "All The Way... A Decade Of Song And Video" presents her biggest hits plus the six new recordings on the companion CD. I think the videos are awesome, but I would make the following changes: Instead of including two versions of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now," I would have put there one of her best videos that people never really had the chance to enjoy, such as "Water From The Moon." I actually saw that video once, on Entertainment Tonight, the night before the Grammy Awards in 1993. I would love to get it. Also, I would have included the original video for "Because You Loved Me," which includes footage from the movie "Up Close & Personal." Also, I would have decided to include the original version of "Beauty and the Beast" with Peabo Bryson. Well, there are several other Celine Dion videos out there, including rare performances (think "I Finally Found Someone," the song she sang at the 1997 Academy Awards). Let's keep our fingers crossed for Sony Music to ultimately release these gems. In the meantime, let's enjoy this DVD and VHS.

Powerful performance from a legendary voice
I don't know if there are any further ways to say "Celine is legendary". This DVD proves it. Her vocal quality, range and interpretation are unmatched, plus she's gorgeous.

Everything on this DVD is awesome, but the one performance that stood out most was "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". I was so overwhelmed I was nearly shaking...so very powerful. I would have given the DVD five stars alone on that performance. I'm so glad I have it to admire forever now...

Are you blind?
Tell me who rated tihs PPV 5 stars?
It was simply one of the worst ppv i ve ever seen and i can tell you i watched most of the ppv these last 4 years 'till last Bad Blood 2003.
The show was pathetic;a good symbol to describe this event is the story line between Big bossman(how old is this man? 254 years old?) and the death of Big Show's father...No comment on the Bossman coming up at the cimetary to take the casket...Who the ยงยงยงยง he thinks he is? THE UNDERTAKER?
Another very bad match was the one with Triple H and Vince simply idiot as the bookers of the time..
And let's not forget the triple threat match between val venis ,d'lo and I don't remember the last one...
Only confused and slow moves in this event; a good point for the rock n sock connection who made this disaster a PPV...

WWF Armageddon Review
This one of the best PPV's the WWF has made. First up is an eight team battle royal where you get eliminated by being thrown over the top rope, for the No. 1 Contendership for the Tag Team Belts with the following teams: The Dudley Boyz, Edge and Christian, The HeadBangers, The Hardy Boyz, Mean Street Posse, The Godfather and Mark Henry, The Acolytes, and Too Cool. Next up is Steve Blackman trying to end the undefeated streak of Kurt Angle. Next is a 4 way Evening Gown in a Pool Match for the Women's Championship, between Ivory, Jacqueline, B.B., and Miss Kitty, with a nice surprise at the end. After that is the Super Heavyweights Match: Rikishi Phatu and Viscera vs. The Holly cousins. A Triple Threat Match for the European title between Val Venis, The Bulldog, and D'Lo Brown is next. After that, it's X-Pac vs Kane in a Steel Cage Match. The rematch for the Intercontinental title is next, between Chyna and the Y2J Chris Jericho. The Tag Team Titles are on the line as The New Age Outlaws face The Rock 'n Sock Connection. The WWF title match is next, between The Big Show and the Big Boss Man. Finally, the best match on the PPV: the main event between Vince McMahon and Triple H in a No Holds Barred Match, where if Vince wins, Triple H must divorce Stephanie McMahon. If Triple H wins, he stays married to Stephanie, and he gets a WWF title shot. This match also has a surprise at the end. Overall, this PPV is one of the best PPV's the WWF has made, along with No Mercy 1999 and Fully Loaded 1999.

WWF Armageddon lives up to the name!

6-Tag Team Title match: The Rock & Mankind vs. New Age Outlaws 7-Intercontinental Title match: Chris Jericho vs. Chyna 8-WWF Championship match: Big Show vs Big Bossman 9-No Holds Barred match: Triple H vs. Vince McMahon(If Triple H wins, his marriage to Stephanie McMahon is legal and he gets a WWF title match. However, if Vince wins, Triple will never get a title match, and the marriage to Stephanie is off.)

New Jack City
Released in VHS Tape by Warner Studios (23 May, 1995)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Mario Van Peebles
Starring: Mario Van Peebles, Wesley Snipes, Ice-T, Allen Payne, and Chris Rock
Some pundits called it a flawed, exploitative action film that glamorized drug dealing and the luxury of a lucrative criminal lifestyle, spawning a trend of films that attracted youth gangs and provoked violence in theaters. Others hailed it as a breakthrough movie that depicted drug dealers as ruthless, corrupt, and evil, leading dead-end lives that no rational youth would want to emulate. However you interpret it, New Jack City is still one of the first and best films of the 1990s to crack open the underworld of cocaine and peer inside with its eyes wide open. It's also the film that established Wesley Snipes as an actor to watch, with enough charisma to bring an insidious quality of seduction to his role as coke-lord Nino Brown, and enough intelligence to portray a character deluded by his own sense of indestructible power. Director Mario Van Peebles stretched his otherwise-limited talent to bring vivid authenticity and urgency to this crime story, and subplots involving a pair of tenacious cops (Ice-T, Judd Nelson) and a recovering coke addict (Chris Rock) provide additional dramatic tension. Although some critics may hesitate to admit it, New Jack City deserves mention in any serious discussion about African American filmmakers and influential films. --Jeff Shannon
Average review score:

A good movie
Not a bad movie at all... Ice-T plays this role convincingly. Judd Nelson seems to be out of place, but Mario Van Peebles does a good job as well. Wesley Snipes is what pulls this movie together, however. His protrayal of Nino Brown is convincing. I think if Judd Nelson would've had a bigger role in this movie as being more than Ice-T's sidekick, this would be a 4 1/2 star movie.

A great movie with a stellar cast and an anti-drug message
Wesley snipes is great as the ruthless Nino Brown. Ice T gives a good performance as a crazy cop who is determined to bring him down. Chris Rock, Judd Nelson, and others give this movie an esemble cast to die for! It's anti-drug message is portrayed through the downfall of Nino's underworld empire. It's portrayal of why people are drawn to drugs is also good, because if there is no market, there is no product. A great movie all around!!!!

Awesome Movie
If you liked Scarface, you'll probably like this movie too. It gives u a first person perspective of how the crack game works and the consequences of getting involved. BUY DIS FlICK!
