great movie
This a great movie for anyone who loves BIG CATS and Africa's natural beauty. The movie would get a solid "B" grade from me and I would recommend it to anyone who loves animals.

Born Wild
A must see for anyone who loves the big cats! The baby leopards are wonderful to watch. Brooke Shield's character portrays the love and concern for our wild animals that I myself have.

Surprisingly good
I recently saw this late at night on TV and was surprised at how good it was (I wasn't expecting much)--and now I'm disappointed that it can't be found on DVD. It's basically a treasure-hunt movie, with the gold under (what else?) a grave in the swamps somewhere down South. The story may lack originality, but the dialogue and acting are fantastic. A cameo appearance by Eric Roberts in which he describes how his wife shoots him is absolutely hilarious. Even 80s-era teen star Anthony Michael Hall, playing an ex-con undertaker, finally plays a role well. Amazing. All in all, this is a very entertaining film.

Far too good to be lost in an ocean of [bad] movies...
I was lucky enough to catch this movie on HBO one late night a few years back... And was smart enough to pop in a vcr tape and dub it off... WHY WON'T THEY RELEASE THIS MOVIE ON DVD?!... ...This movie kicks ...... The cast and acting both are great... There are a seldom few movies I can watch over and over and everytime pay as close of attention as I did the first night I saw it... This is one of those movies... I can't understand why it has been such an unknown film... Donal Logue (Blade, and now the star of the hit tv series "Grounded For Life") stars in this movie, and it is his best performance i've ever seen... I LOVE HIS CHARACTER... It is my favorite in the entire movie... The pairing of "Travis, Boo, and Cletus" is classic... If you haven't seen this movie, I strongly suggest you do... My rating out of 5 is a 10...

Braddock: Missing in Action 3
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (23 May, 1990)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Aaron Norris
Starring: Chuck Norris
Average review score:

Braddock goes back to Vietnam one last time.
The final Missing in Action adventure is really just a remake of the first film, with a family oriented twist. When Colonel James Braddock (Chuck Norris) discovers that the girlfriend he believed dead is not only still alive, but that he had fathered a son as well, it takes him all of a millinanosecond to start preparing yet another single handed sneak attack on the PRV to get them out of there. Chuck's longtime stunt co-ordinator brother Aaron made his directing debut with this formula movie and he didn't do that bad of a job. Norris fans will find this hard to dislike.

Some of the best Chuck 'Hand to Hand' combat
Amongst all the generally ropey films that Chuck made with Cannon, this is one of the best.

Blistering action, excellent hand to hand combat scenes and pacey throughout, this film is not only essential for a Chuck fans but also for those who enjoy a no-holds-barred beat-em up with plenty of pyrotechnics for good measure.

What happen to Braddock after he had been caught by Vietcong
When Braddock and his family are half way through the jungle, they were being caught by the Vietcong. What happen to Braddock and his family, and did braddock ever got torture by the electricity?

Star Trek - The Animated Series, Vol. 6: The Slaver Weapon/ The Ambergris Element
Released in VHS Tape by Paramount Studio (20 July, 1994)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Directors: Hal Sutherland and Bill Reed
Average review score:

'Toon "Trek" was better than no "Trek" at all
In the period between the original's cancellation and the resurgence of the franchise via the movies, there was an animated version of the series that ran for two years on NBC. While not up to the Disney standard, the show did feature most of the actors (Walter Koenig, the sole member absent), great incidental music, and many of the same scriptwriters of the sci-fi classic.

This particular tape features one of the best episodes of the series: "The Slaver Weapon." A tightly-told show that allows greater use of Uhura, the character voiced by Nichelle Nichols, as she, Spock, and Sulu are held captive by a race that wishes to make use of a "doomsday" device left abandoned on a desolate world. The various transformations of the weapon, each deadlier than the former, make for a most intriguing story.

The animated version was able to do some things that would've been impossible to create on the original's budget. A great tale is woven in "The Slaver Weapon."

Unlike earlier reviewers, I find the other installment "The Ambergris Element" to be less interesting. Thus, I can't give it five stars.

The best of Star Trek in Animation.
In The Slaver Weapon: Uhura, Sulu, and Spock must keep a deadly weapon from the hands of an evil cat like race called the Kazenti who want the weapon made by the Slavers, an anicent race that ruled the Milkey Way over a billion years ago. In The Ambergris Element; Kirk and Spock are transformed into water breaters by an anicent amphiaian race and must find a way to reverse their mutations and then save races from two worlds from Earthquakes which will destroy everything. Written by Larry Niven and Margaret Armen. Both episodes directed by Hal Sutherland. Executive Consultent; Gene Roddenberry.

Vol. 6: The Slaver Weapon/ The Ambergris Element
This has got to be one of my favorite series. The slaver weapon was good, it has a wonderful plot, and there was various degrees of action.

The ambergris element has got to be my favorite, because I love water, Spock and Kirk got attacked by a huge red marine creature( Argo Sur Snake), similar to an earth whale. After that encounter with the sur snake, the inhabitants genetically tranformed them into beings that could live in water.

You will experience a great adventure, where Kirk and Spock are trying to find a way to reverse their transformation, and save the inhabitants from severe geological events. This is a great series, worth every penny!

Black Moon Rising
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (30 January, 2001)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Harley Cokeliss
Starring: Tommy Lee Jones and Linda Hamilton
With a screenplay partially written by John Carpenter (Halloween), a cast that includes Tommy Lee Jones in the lead, and a dream car called the Black Moon that travels up to 350 miles per hour, one should feel entitled to see a pretty good movie here. It doesn't quite work out that way, however. Jones plays a high-tech thief squeezed by the government into stealing data from a shady corporation. Under pursuit, he slips the booty into the back of the lightning-quick Black Moon, which is subsequently stolen by Robert Vaughn's hot-car operation. And so on. What could have been a smart, fast-paced action piece with some original elements and heated visuals suddenly cools after the story setup. It cools so much, in fact, that one begins to question the film's logic: why on earth, for example, would a smart, visionary villain such as Vaughn's character limit himself to stolen vehicles? Carpenter fans and other completists will want to check this out, understandably, but the rest of us will have to find points of interest in Jones's sharpened wits and supporting performances by Linda Hamilton, Lee Ving, and Richard Jaeckel. Directed by Harley Cokliss. --Tom Keogh

This DVD has a bad skip
I grew up and love this movie. Black Moon Rising will always hold a special place in my heart. I wore out my tape version so I perchased the rather expensive DVD .... First of all this is not a duel layer disk, so a skip should not happen. Actually the skip (close to halfway through the movie) is much worse on duel layer discs. This made me mad. If I pay close to 30 bucks for a dvd, I expect it to be in tip top shape. I returned it for an exchange and guess what! Same skip but only much, much worse than on my first version. I even have a top-of-the-line DVD player; a sony. I give up. The movie is good, but be causious, most versions of this disc (my family and friends have the same bad skip on their dvd's) contain that terrible skip. I hope [the manufacturer/publisher] fixes it, because I have the same problem on the documentary on my Evil Dead II dvd.

Not just guy stuff, Tommy Lee is for us ladies too
A previous reviewer stated that this movie was loaded with guy stuff. While this might be true, 90 minutes or so of Tommy Lee Jones (and a couple great love scenes) works for me! Killer fight scenes too. This was a very enjoyable movie. Unfortunately, done before Jones was really appreciated. What took everyone so long?

Tommy
Is he good, or is he good - best love scene with the best guy in it. Good work, Tommy!

Never Met Picasso
Released in VHS Tape by Water Bearer (29 June, 1999)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: Stephen Kijak
Average review score:

AMUSING ...PICASSO.
Somewhat hilariouslly amusing gay-comedy of dysfunctional families and friend's, loose moral's and plenty of partner-swapping bed-hopping hi-jinx set amongst Boston's Art community of gallery opening's, hammy-theater performing numerous drug & drink cocktail-partie's and you've got a movie called NEVER MET PICASSO.
Plot is thin and shallow and never really goe's anywhere as character's drop in and out of scenes from nowhere and do nothing.
However Andy(Alexis Arquette) is a frustrated(in more way's than one)30 yr-old gay painter whom enter's a contest to win a trip to Africa for much needed inspiration.
His self-centered mother actress Genna Magnus(Margot Kidder) is vexed by her directionless son and is preoccupied with the world's worst play Naked Tenor(so awful it's funny).
Andy's Uncle(Alvin Epstein) is also gay and keeper of a family-secret.
Other numerous notable friend's are Lesbian childhood-pal Lucy(Georgia Ragsdale) whom shine's the brightest.
All in all fine performances by all cast in a much needed tighter written script by 1st timer director Stephen Kijak, but passable.
Pace drag's along slowly and could've benefitted with some forward-momentom. Amusing.

Colorful, humorous, splendid, and original !
This film is truly a find ! Arquette is fabulous- as usual, but equally as engaging is Georgia Ragsdale who does a great Jackie-O impersonation in the film. This is one of Don McKellar's more interesting roles, and the old grandfather (Alvin Epstien) brought tears to my eyes. A beautifully photographed film with layers and layers of truths, humour, and sincerety. From female artists who have been forgotton in history, to family secrets, to finding true love and following our hearts, this film has a voice and a message!

A weird and wonderful gem of a film!
This is Arquette at his best. The film is a little low on plot but is high on ideas - its thought provoking, tender, strange and really beautiful - the cast is great (I loved Margot Kidder and that crazy psychic painter!). It's like John Waters does Antonioni - a real artful film. This 'story' of a young gay painter and his search for inspiration is filled with unusual characters and small life lessons that are touching and haunting. Like nothing I've seen before!
