Without question,Tales From The Crypt is the best horror TV show of all time.I'm not exactly sure if it was the first horror anthology to hit TV,but it was the only true *sucessful* one.It was the only one that never got taken off the air.It had countless episodes that were just brilliant. Great casting,superb acting,awesome special F/X,this show is total Genius.It's also the only thing in the world that frightens me like a baby. The Crypt Keepers unbelieveably ugly appearance really freaked me out as a kid,and he still does! How can you Trash the guy? He's one of the most important icons in the History of horror.This is the perfect choice for you multi-story seekers,and a totally excellent addition to your horror library.What are you doing reading this? Buy every episode now... The episodes MUST be released on DVD NOW,with non-stop extras galore!

This "Tales From The Crypt" video was considered Volume 3 out of a trilogy, produced by Warner Brothers (instead of HBO; as a large amount of the more recent ones are) in 1990. The three episodes on this video which I will be reviewing are "Dead Right" , "The Switch" and "Cutting Cards". "Dead Right", starring Demi Moore and Jeffrey Tambor is the story of a female Gold digger who visits a gypsy that tells her she will find wealth soon. Later, she meets a fat slob, whom she later marries for the money. But where is it? And what's this about a lottery she just won? A great episode; but I must warn you, this has a very disturbing and violent end. Not for the faint of heart. "The Switch" is indeed a thought provoking episode. A wealthy old man tries to steal a young girl's heart by taking special....operations. But in the end, I think the name of the game would be vice-versa. Starring William Hickey (one of his last roles before his passing away) , Rick Rossovich and Kelly Preston, this film is suprisingly directed by (!) Arnold Schwarzenegger! "Cutting Cards" is the light hearted episode in the video. Starring Keving Tighe and Lance Henriksen, it all starts with a game of cards to see who gets out of town first....and then it snowballs. Probably one of the more comical endings in all of the "Tales From The Crypt" series. As always, the Crypt Keeper provides great laughes throughout the segments. Great video. Buy it today.

I absoulutley love TALES FROM THE CRYPT it is the greatest show ever created. This tape is especially good because the three episodes on it are some of the earlier ones, and some of the better ones. DEAD RIGHT, THE SWITCH, and CUTTING CARDS all have great stories. Highly recomended! END

Now they're all grown up and all four (Melanie Griffith, Demi Moore, Rosie O'Donnell, Rita Wilson) of them get together and relive the past and tell about how they're doing now, years later. One thing still holds true. All four of them made a pact to always stick together and to be there for each other when ever they needed it.

"Now and Then" is a good coming of age movie. It reminded me a lot of "Stand By Me," which is one of my favorite movies of all time. "Now and Then" isn't as good as "Stand By Me," but it's still a good movie in its own right. It has its charming and funny moments, and it's serious and depressing at other times. I recommend "Now and Then" to anybody who likes good coming of age movies. It might even remind you of some of your childhood, such as playing Red Rover. Every now and then, most of us like reminiscing about the good times we had growing up such as being able to play games and have a good time without worrying about working or whether or not we're making enough money, I know I do. And "Now and Then" will bring up a lot of great memories for that reason.

All the actors were great and it's a star-studded cast featuring Janeane Garafolo and Brendan Frasier in cameos. There's only one actress making her debut, Ashleigh Aston Moore, and she gives a stunning performance as 12-year-old Chrissy. You will do anything to get your hands on this video!!!

You can watch this movie over and over and never get bored of it because you notice stuff you didn't see before and it seems to never get boring. This is a pretty good movie, although the initial effect is disconcerting, like watching a sit-com that is painfully real and not just escapist fare. The players, Demi Moore and Rob Lowe as the lovers, and Jim Belushi and Elizabeth Perkins as their jealous friends, are very good, and Director Edward Zwick is to be complemented on getting so much out of all of them. The script, loosely based on David Mamet's play Sexual Perversions in Chicago is filled with sharp, clever and sometimes insightful lines worth quoting.

One is when Moore breaks off the relationship with her boss to be exclusively with Lowe. Taken back, he says, "But I thought we had something special." She replies, "No. It was sleazy. And now it's over."

Another is when Moore's sensitive and brutally sarcastic (and jealous) friend Perkins arrives for Thanksgiving and says to Lowe about cloddish, working-class Jim Belushi, who hasn't arrived yet, "Your vulgarian friend is downstairs denting innocent people's fenders."

After the two lovers move in together, and she has more than a drawer in his apartment and doesn't have to carry an extra pair of panties in her purse, they begin with "I love..." (awkward pause) "making love with you" (pure Mamet). But when he doesn't share his feelings with her, she says, "I don't want to be your roommate anymore. I had a roommate."

What she wants is emotional intimacy. A woman needs emotional intimacy because then she knows where she stands and she has some control. They move closer and she (caught unaware) says, "I love you." He (on the spot, camera close) replies, "I love you too." She sheds a tear, just one, as they hug, perhaps in joy, or perhaps because she doesn't know whether he really loves her or not, and it's so very, very important. The next day Belushi asks who said it first and cavalier Lowe says he did. Belushi, who boorishly fancies himself a lady's man, lectures his friend on just how very poor studly style that is.

About Last Night is really about forming and securing the bond between a man and a woman. It's trial by fire. Their emotions are on edge and their individuality is threatened. And all around them are people and circumstances, and their very own animal natures, testing and probing the strength of the bond. When it breaks the pain is enormous.

Lowe says: "I didn't fool around. Not once!" Moore rejoins: "Give the boy a medal. I didn't realize it was such a sacrifice."

Then comes her awkward and sad double date with the nerdy card trick artist with the British accent. Perkins says, "Couldn't you just listen to him all night?" and we're thinking, "NOT EVEN for one minute."

Meanwhile we have Lowe's casual pickups. Meaningless sex, and then not even that. But when he saves his friend's cafe, he grows up.

Belushi and Perkins are wonderful as "opposites attract." They fight the magnetism to the very end-speaking of which, the best part of the movie is the ending. It is perfect.

It should be noted that the movie is larger than Mamet's one-act play and covers ground not even considered in the play. The play was an insightful but somewhat crude comedy about sex. The movie is a popular drama about relationships.

If there is any movie that realisticly portrays relationships, it is this one, Rob Lowe & Demi Moore are very believable as lovers who decide to live together in the hopes that they will live a long & happy life, but the perils of living together are explored very deeply here, as with any couple there are problems, past relationships,disapproving friends,adjusting to each other's habits, it is all here & anyone who has lived with anyone will see the realism of this film, if you have not ever lived with your boyfriend or girlfriend this film will seem off balance, this is the perfect film for anyone who might be thinking of moving in with their lover or anyone who has second thoughts, highly recommended!!

'About Last Night..' is by far one of the best movies I have ever seen. It has a bit of an eighties touch and a little TOO much nudity but, other than that this movie is awesome. Rob Lowe looks sexy and acts his best, and Demi Moore is just beautiful in this movie.
It takes place in Chicago and two singles Debbie and Danny, have a one night stand. They move in together and try to make a sexual relationship into a romantic one, will it work out? HMM.. I highly reccomend this movie, especially if you are a Rob Lowe fan(you see a lot of his @ss).

Tom Cruise has the biggest role and delivers a fantastic performance as a slacker lawyer who discovers his abilities just in time to try the case of his life. Moore and Nicholson add star power and each is brilliant in their role. But, the three big stars aside, this movie is really made by the supporting cast. The list of actors who shine in support in this film is endless. Walsh, Pollack, Bacon, Gooding, Burnley, Dane, Fultz, Sutherland, et. al. make up the real legal dream team. This is truly a great ensemble cast (and fertile ground for the Kevin Bacon Game).

The courtroom scenes will drive trial lawyers crazy, but that criticism misses the point. The writers may have been sick the day they taught law in law school, but that is just the difference between paper law and trial law. So, while the lawyers may object strenuously, I say this film is matched only by "The Caine Mutiny" as great courtroom movies.

I am not a big Tom Cruise fan, but he truly performed on Oscar level in this film. I really enjoyed watching his character mature as the moive progressed. Jack Nicholson was simply "Jack" - enough said. This role was seriously made for him. Throw in Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, and an exceptional performance by Kevin Pollack, and you have one blockbuster of a film. Cuba Gooding Jr. and ER's Noah Wiley also had minor roles in this film, and if that wasn't enough, add in the directing genius of Rob Reiner. Need I say more?

The film flowed extremely well, and the acting was far better than superb. The storyline was forever changing, allowing the suspense to be overwhelmingly good. The courtroom scenes, although slightly unbelievable, were so dramatic and enticing that you couldn't help but feel like you were on that jury witnessing all of the theatrics involved.

A Few Good Men will leave you wanting more, and the ending, somewhat unpredictable, will knock you out of your seat. This is one great film, and would make an excellent addition to anyone's film library.

Anyone who's familiar with John Hughes-type 80's movies will be pleased to see a lot of familiar faces in this movie....... Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Emilio Estevez, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, etc. The only difference is that this story involves post college-graduates instead of high school teenagers, and that this story wasn't done by John Hughes. I must say I enjoyed the movie a lot, but I didn't quite relate to a lot of the characters as I did in films like The Breakfast Club. The character Emilio Estevez plays is obsessed with Andie McDowell, and I just didn't buy the idea that someone in real life in his position would do the stupid things he does in this movie. Then of course there's Rob Lowe's character of which I can let speak for itself. The drama is good and I liked the music score a lot, but I would recommend this only as a rental. This decision still doesn't sway me from being a big Brat Pack fan though. Let's hope that many of the other famous 80's teen dramas/comedies can get a decent DVD release like St. Elmo's Fire did.

Three of the five Brat Packers featured in "The Breakfast Club" as people who never talk to each other at school (Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy and Emilio Estevez) star here as part of a group of 7 recent Georgetown graduates trying to make it in post-college life in Washington, DC.

Sheedy and Judd play Leslie and a young couple who have moved in together --he would like to marry her so that he will finally stop cheating on her. Andrew McCarthy is Judd's best friend who has a hard time finding a date and has to admit to himself he is in love with Sheedy. Estevez is a waiter/law student in love with an older doctor (Andie MacDoweel) whom they knew in college. Demi Moore is a party-girl full of self-made drama, a counterpoint to the doomstruck irresponsible father/husband played by a punked-out Rob Lowe. Mare Winningham is the virginal social services worker who can't figure out what she wants, although sh eknows it's not what her father tells her to want.

Set in DC, the film features a lot of incidents endemic to the city (Jules partying in a hotel with some Arab royalty.) The Georgetown streets where the bar St Elmo is still there, although the actual bar scenes were shot in a restaurant called The Round Table in another neighborhood. Funny how the same problems that affect these young people are what they call a "quarter-life crisis" today, as when Jules says "I never thought I would be so tired at 22."

"St. Elmo's Fire" is my favorite 'Brat Pack' movie. With an all-star cast, how can you go wrong? First you have Rob Lowe who is simply gorgeous as Billy, a guy who can't decide what he's going to do after graduating college. He plays the sax (quite well I might add) for fun and sometimes for money.

Then you have Julie (Demi Moore in a wonderful performance), who is very high-strung after learning about her father's marriage to another woman. Her life is basically like kettle with hot water that is about to boil. She's happy then she's sad, then she's manic...She's everything! But she does a wonderful job.

I loved seeing Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy together. After seeing "The Breakfast Club," I never thought I'd see them as a couple. They are cute together and the scenes they share are fun to watch.

Emilio Estevez's performance was just as wonderful as the others. He falls in love with a doctor (Andie McDowell) who is already involved with someone else, but he's determined to make things go his way. It doesn't work, but watching him try to make it work is just as much fun.

Andrew McCarthy is a lot of fun to watch. Everyone thinks he's gay because he doesn't have a girlfriend and doesn't date very much. It's a typical stereotype, but I got over that. The end of the movie proves that he is not gay. Mare Winningham gives a stunning performance as a girl who comes from a very wealthy family. She loves Billy but her father wants her to marry a successful businessman. Since she is 'daddy's girl,' she doesn't want to disappoint him.

Overall, this movie is just fun to watch and listening to the director's commentary is great. You get to learn about all these things that went on behind the scenes and what roles the actors were originally up for.
