MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: James Belushi

An extraordinary candidate for DVD publication!
Fortunately I was able to tape this out-of-this-world mini-series. But it appears to have disappeared from circulation of late. I, for one, would revel in seeing it again in a glorious remastered DVD edition... Remember Oliver Stone's cameo in a TV show of the future interviewed about the (then solved) Kennedy mystery? Not to mention John Belushi being introduced to William Gibson in a party. I believe that this TV series definitely has historic elements and that it MUST be immortalized on a nice DVD edition!

THIS MUST COME OUT ON DVD!!!!!!!!
This is a masterpeace!
Everyone who haven't seen it is really missing out on something great. Guess SOMEONE doesn't like this..anyhow...all the more reason to get it out! Free Wild Palms!

Mikhail Baryshnikov's Stories from My Childhood Vol 7: Ivan and His Magic Pony
Released in VHS Tape by Films By Jove (01 January, 1997)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Average review score:

The memories...oh the wonderful memories!
Yes, all the videos in this series are fantastic, but Ivan and his Magic Pony really stands out. I first owned this work of art on the now extinct CED video collection in the very early 80's. I was thrilled to finally find it on VHS.
The movie itself is just beautiful. The animation has a unique style that is very pleasing and calming. You can call Disney movies "classic" all you want, but these films from Russia truly deserve that title.
Ivan and his Magic Pony is about just that. Ivan and his two older brothers set out to the hay fields to catch whoever has been stealing their hay. The thief turns out to be a magic horse who grants 3 gifts to Ivan since the horse cannot shake him off. Ivan is granted 2 grand horses and 1 pony who can talk. Ivan sells the 2 horses to the Czar and is given the job of heading up the stables. Ivan then goes on a few fantastic adventures appointed by the Czar. I don't want to spoil the rest because you just have to see the film to truly appreciate it.
All the CGI and multi-million dollar animation in the world could never stand up to this movie or some other rare ones that have been lost through the passage of time, i.e. The Mouse and His Child.

Great for kids
Wow, this brings back memories. This movie is really remarkable, and has the feel of old folklore that Disney has yet to figure out. It is really different, and will thoroughly entertain anyone under the age of seven (maybe older). It's been a while since I've seen it, so I can't remember if the acting and script are cheesy, but I do remember that it was visually beautiful and fun to watch.

I highly recommend the entire series
I am the mother of a 4yr. old and i am collecting the "Stories from my childhood" series, and each and every one is a work of art with wonderful, meaningful stories. A great option for parents who are tired of the average Disney fare and want truly wonderful classics for their children.

Pinky & The Brain: World Domination Tour

A wise cartoon
I thoroughly enjoy every "Pinky and the Brain" cartoon made. It's a wise cartoon, about a crazed mutated mouse (with a huge
lightbulb of a head) who wants to conquer the world. Since he
can't really do it by myself, he has help in the person of
Pinky, his amiable-but-stupid sidekick. Both fail every time,
but never give up. Such wisdom is not just for children, but
also for adults. These are great cartoons. You will enjoy them,
I promise.

One great video
Pinky & the Brain have to be one of the greatest cartoons ever made. It easily appeals to kids and adults alike. This video is a great start for any collection for fans of the cartoon or just cartoons in general. It contains three short episode; Pavlov's Mice, Brain Meets Brawn, Where Rodents Dare, and Tokyo Grows. All great episodes in the tradition of what this cartoon is like. I beleive they are from the early beginings of the show when it was a part of Animaniacs on the WB. Although it is a bit short, 37 minutes total, this video is a must buy, a great addition to your collection that will appeal to the entire family. Buy it now before you no longer can!

One of the best cartoons...
Pinky and The Brain are very good, but this video is perfect. If I could, I'd rate it 6 stars!

Arnold Schwarzenegger - Hollywood Hero
Released in VHS Tape by Image Entertainment (07 August, 2001)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: Todd Baker
Average review score:

Great video
I will make it simple. If you are a Arnold fan, this is the video for you. Packed with all kinds of interesting topics.

Great Story
Great story about Arnold's life. This is a must own for any Arnold fan. It makes you appreciate how he rose to the top. He isn't the greatest actor (you try acting in a foreign language and a see how well you do) but he has an incredible screen presence. It is good to know that Hollywood still has some good guys. Some thing that make him a hero are he donates much of his time and money to charity and runs the Special Olympics etc.

Best of Saturday Night Live: Hosted by Robin Williams

Robin how he was meant to be
Robin is at his best when the script is either loose or nonexistent. Here you will see some of Robin's best works. A masterpiece in its own right. Get this movie for fantastic ad-libbed brilliance. Also, with guest singer Paul Simon and brief appearance by Art Garfunkel... how can you go wrong?

Two of my favourite things... Robin Williams and SNL!
There is only one thing better than Saturday Night Live and thats Robin Wiliams live! He is really out there and can make me laugh like no one else! He does some great skits on this video including acting out Shakespear and my favourite in the future with Dana Carvey as his son! This is another rare snl video so if you can get a hold of it don't hesitate to snap it up!

Wanted more Toonces!
Funny, funny stuff, but i wanted more Toonces and less of eveything else.

Best of Toonces & Friends
Toonces & friends was so funny! It's a must own!!! Needs to be re-released and in DVD format. I would certainly buy it for myself and for friends. It would make a great stocking stuffer.

Absolutely classic...
Remember when Saturday Night Live was funny? Well, if you don't remember Toonces, then you missed out on some pretty hilarious skits. This particular video is entitled "Toonces and Friends," which kind of urks me because I wanted more of Toonces and less of his friends. However, most of the skits are funny, such as Coach Dobbs, Scruffy the Rat and Abe Lincoln and His Time Machine. The only one I didn't find funny at all was that bizarre Fugitive Couple skit. It was dumb.

As Steve Martin says, Toonces can drive... just not very well. In every Toonces skit, he winds up driving himself and his passengers over a cliff. Aside from these moments, a comedic gem is when we see Toonces stuck on the hubcap of a moving car.

This is a pretty hard to find tape, so if you can find it, get it. Just know it's of low quality as it was recorded in EP mode (see how much better DVD is?)

K-9
Released in VHS Tape by Universal Studios (26 December, 2001)
MPAA Rating: PG-13 (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Director: Rod Daniel
Starring: James Belushi, Mel Harris, Kevin Tighe, and Ed O'Neill
A not very subtle variation on the buddy picture, this fluff comedy/action story squeaks by on the surprising charm generated by Jim Belushi (About Last Night, Salvador). Belushi plays the typically acerbic loner cop who relentlessly pursues a criminal mastermind while trying to juggle a relationship at home with girlfriend Tracy, played by Mel Harris of television's thirtysomething. The catch is that Belushi is saddled with a partner, an unruly German shepherd named Jerry Lee, and the gruff but lovable cop learns to love the dog of his dreams. The film is predictable from its first moments and survives only on the strength of the loose charm of its lead and the inoffensive performance of its lead canine. --Robert Lane
Average review score:

Funniest K-9 movie available!
Only James Belushi could pull off a movie like this. If you're a dog lover Jerry Lee has more personality than any dog in the movies. It has a great story line with romance, action, and adventure. A must see!

HES JUST NOT A COP HES MY PARTNER
I first saw this film in 1990 or something and now I'm 21 and
I still love it!

K-9 is about a cop (Jim Belushi-according to Jim)who has been
after a drug dealer for 2 years and after choosing to get a german shepard named Jerry Lee-a chili eating drug sniffing
dog Dooleys world is flipped upside down!

This movie has made me love those German Shepard doggies and it makes me want to go out and buy one!

I rented the 2nd one and it is good as well-but nothing can
compare to the 1rst one-thats for sure!

That scene when the bad guy shoots Jerry Lee always makes me sad
(how can anyone shoot a dog?)
then the scene when Dooley gets in that fight with the doctor was
good.

EITHER YOU HELP HIM NOW OR HES GONNA DIE

DONT GET SO EXICTED-HES JUST A DOG

HES NOT JUST A DOG-HES A COP-AND HES NOT JUST ANY COP HES MY PARTNER!

YOU KNOW ABOUT MEDICINE-YOU KNOW HOW TO REMOVE A BULLET

HMM?

(SLAMS GUN DOWN ON THE TABLE)

Doctors dont think animals have a right to live when they get
seriously injured-that only humans do?

next you'll be telling us these human beasts have souls!

My favorite scenes were:

Jerry drinking Dooleys iced tea through the straw

the car wash scene

the cupcake scene

and the part when Dooley and Jerry first meet-and Jerry lunges
at him!

Actually every scene was great-but not that scene when poor
Jerry got shot.

Great movie
I love this movie, Jim Belushi is a great actor, the dog is great too.

All three of the K-9 movies are great, so if you own one of them, then you should own all three.

Real Men
Released in VHS Tape by Mgm/Ua Studios (28 October, 1992)
MPAA Rating: PG-13 (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Director: Dennis Feldman
Starring: James Belushi and John Ritter
Average review score:

Smart and Hilarious
This is a very very funny film that has gone by almost unnoticed. The plot is simple, all life on earth will be dead in a few years if Jim Belushi cannot get John Ritter, a milquetoast, that he has it in him to save the world. Simple. Along the way you meet a rogue CIA group dressed as clowns, aliens from another world who want a glass of water and the KGB. I say this all matter of factly because that is exactly the attitude that Jim Belushi's character does. He's seen it all before and the hilarity comes when you take someone who has never had an exciting experience in this life (Ritter) and team him with someone that has had so many crazy and wild adventures that even saving the world is mundane. This is a great satire on our national security. I recommend this film to anyone who does not take everything seriously and/or wants to laugh. Some of the components are a little over the top, but that's what movies are for.
Thanks for your time:
T

Make way for "Real Men."
The story opens with Stone Wall holding a glass of water and walking in the woods. He is shot and the whole world is in danger because of it. Bob Wilson (John Ritter) is a dead ringer for the only person that can save the world by negotiating with aliens. Who will recruit and train him? Yep Nick ParanDello (James Belushi.) Will they be able to take on the CIA, KGB, and a bunch of other clowns? And if so will the mission be accomplished? And if he lives, what effect will this experience have on Bob Wilson's personality?
I am not about to tell all the details, as that is the movie, however Dyanne Thorne plays "Dad.' Now where have we seen her before?

My Favorite 80s Movie
This movie is a little known treasure. I can remember watching it several times growing up, but nobody else I know has ever seen it. Real Men has been very difficult to find, and it has never been released on a DVD format until know. I strongly suggest you buy this movie (especially at this price!). It has a high replay value (almost like BLues Brothers) and it will keep you entertained for years to come.

Saturday Night Live - The Best of the Clinton Scandal
Released in VHS Tape by Vidmark/Trimark (05 February, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Directors: Claude Kerven, Dave Wilson, Beth McCarthy-Miller, James Signorelli, and Paul Miller
Few topics have provided such ample fodder for Saturday Night Live as the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky scandal. And while cast member Darrell Hammond has embodied many characters on the long-running television show (including Trent Lott, Ted Koppel, Phil Donahue, Sean Connery, John Travolta, and Jay Leno), he is best known for his dead-on impersonation of President Clinton, so much so that he appeared with the president at the Radio-Television Correspondents Dinner in 1997.

This collection of SNL skits, hosted by Hammond, contains nothing but parodies of the low moments of the Clinton scandal. The uneven quality of the skits is disappointing given the richness of the material; however, there are enough bright moments to make the video worth the watch. A series of mock Gap ads starring Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and Ken Starr are hysterical, as are some of the quite short gags in which the laughs last longer than the skits. Sadly, not enough clips feature John Goodman as Linda Tripp, although we get a taste for the character in "Oprah 2001" and in a montage of some of Tripp's best lines. Some of the skits are downright juvenile, as when a gaggle of female journalists turn a news discussion into a pajama-clad slumber party gabfest. Yet watching Lewinsky (Molly Shannon) guided by her P.R. rep (David Slade) interview talk-show hosts for her exclusive interview is comedy at its best. Overall this collection will please political pundits and fans of SNL. --Jenny Brown

Average review score:

It was alright.
It was alright, but I wanted to see more of the skits with
Tripp in them. They cut a lot of them out of this, but it
was fun to watch anyway.

Boy, all of history should be this funny!
Darrell Hammond's "Bill Clinton" and John Goodman's "Linda Tripp" have to stand as two of the funniest comic performances even done on the long-running television show.

They bring tears to my eyes and probably do the same for the pair parodied.

Great!
This is one great "best of." Every skit is so funny. I think if you love political humor, you'll love this one. It's worth viewing.

Disney's Mighty Ducks the Movie
Released in VHS Tape by Disney Studios (08 April, 1997)
MPAA Rating: Unrated
Directors: Joe Barruso, Doug Murphy, Sung Bak Yub, and Blair Peters
Average review score:

Flawed, but was showing promise.
This movie was made up of the first three episodes of the "Mighty Ducks" TV show, when it was probably at its best. The basic premise of this show tended to be weak, but their were moments when it showed a spark of inspiration, such as the Duck's initial distaste for humans and the conflict at first when Dragonas threatened Earth. Why should we help this alien civilization? Once they became standard-issue superheroes, the show lost much of its interesting parts. It became just another Saturday-morning cookie-cutter action cartoon. The only interesting part was the subplot of trying to get back to Puckworld, and with the cancellation of show, that was left unresolved. This show only needed a little tweaking to put near "Gargoyles" in strength of narrative.

best disney series ever
Hey I watch Mighty Ducks on toon disney every weekend I love
