Not Just Belushi's Shadow
I watched this last night and was blown away. Dan Ackroyd is sooo underrated. People always mention Chevy, Belushi, and Bill Murray, but Dan Ackroyd was the anchor to the whole shebang. If you watch this, notice how he never seems to screw up. He's always on cue, even when he's a mile a minute sleazy salesman in a fake ad. This is saying a lot, considering it was live TV in front of millions. But most of all, he's hilarious. There's Fred Garvin..Male Prostitute; the guy accused of producing dangerous Halloween costumes...like the Johnny Adventure Action Set (or something like that), which includes oily rags and a giant Zippo. He also did a Christmas toy one (not included here, unfortunately) which was simply a bag of nails. The Wild and Crazy Guys are included, as well as Elwood, and the Coneheads. Omitted, unfortunately, is his Point/Counterpoint, featuring the famous line, "Jane, you ignorant slut"; but see this anyway. It's a reminder of just how great and innovative and irreverent the Not Ready for Prime Time Players were. And how brilliant Dan Ackroyd was and is.

Its hilarious!
He is one of SNL's funniest comedians. It has all his best sketckes all rolled up into one. I recomend this video to anyone.

Micheal Keaton is awesome!
I originally purchased this video at a used video store. I am a huge Paul Reubens (Yes, AKA Pee-wee Herman) fan and wanted to see him in it. I got volume one and two and was very impressed with the show. However my copy of volume two was so messed up that it made my VCR squeel and shake when it played and was only partly watchable. When I saw it here I snatched it up as quick as I could.

I generally think that if a show doesn't last more than 8 episodes then there must have been a reason, that the show must have been bad. Upon watching these tapes that doesn't seem to be the case. Keaton is at his commedic best, and him and Jim Belushi (whom I generally think is passable at best) make a great pair. They play off of each other wonderfully. I can't believe this show was so easily dismissed. I have seen much worse shows last for season after season.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ANY MICHEAL KEATON FAN!!! Also a must for any Paul Reubens fans. He is just perfect and hysterical in it...They both are! This is a must have.

Really funny show!
I caught this on TV Land a while back and was quite suprised to see a young Michael Keaton and James Balushi in a comedy series! I thought the show was really cool! It was also good to see 2 up and comers at the start of their careers. I would recommend this to anyone that loves comedy. I would even show it to people that want to know about the early career of the lead stars. Makes me think of "Busom Buddies" with Tom Hanks. This show was better though. Michael Keaton was a real cutie too!

SNL rebirth!!
The year was 1989 and already SNL had gone through a tremendous cast change since Lorne Michaels took back his gem in 1985. Fresh, young comics Dana Carvey, Phil Hartm & then newcomer Mike Myers (who would later be known as "Austin Powers") burst on the scene with ther array of hilarious, off-the-cuff characters. All is captured in this video! I bought it when it first came out back in 92 and lost it. Now that I have it back, I love reliving Wayne's World, Dana Carvey's dead-on President Bush and Phil Hartman's Anal Retentive Chef & Donald Trump impression. Quite a masterpiece of comic genius. SNL still continues that tradition today. If you can find it, grab this and all the other great SNL videos & DVD's!!

A Charming and Funny Experience
This is a great video, which is the best of the best of Saturday Night Live. It is hilarious, with cast members such as Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Dan Ackroyd, Jane Curtin, Garrett Morris, and the rest shining as brightly as they ever have. With highlights such as Bill Murray as the Lounge Singer singing "Star Wars," and Steve Martin singing "King Tut," this video will not disappoint you!
