Jesse Jackson was wonderful
I am looking for the episode of Saturday live when Jesse Jackson read Green Egg & Ham as a tribute to the death of Dr. Seuss. I believe that this episode aired on September 24, 1991 the day Dr. Seuss died. September 28, 1991 Michael Jordan / Public Enemy

John goodman, one of the first members of the Five time club
There is a reason John Goodman keeps getting invited back to host SNL... that reason is he is hillarious! I got this video and can tell you I have watched it many times and still to this day get lots of laughs out of it! I only hope they do a more recent video soon with some up to date John Goodman hosting on it!

Best Of-Snl Presidental Bash

Old politics still funny today
The SNL Presidential Bash is the funniest collection of skits based on a theme (e.g. Halloween, Christmas, specific cast members). Even though all of the Clinton skits are missing(the anthology was produced during the 1992 election), the video contains skits that are funny even if you have superficial knowlege of politics. The video spans from the early years to the golden years (Carvey, Hartman, Farlye, et al.). In the early years, Chevy Chase interprets the bungly President Ford and Dan Akroyd plays a President Carter who knows exact details of every insignificant thing.

Dana Carvey is omnipresent. He is in the 1988 presidential debates between George Bush and Michael Dukakis. Jon Lovitz played Dukakis, an emotionless and short candidate who had (in the skit) a mechanical lift to elevate him to the height of the podium. Carvey's Ross Perot charicature has chronic cameos as the host of the special. Perot also had a hillarious infomercial where he explained that his salary would be based upon the growth of the country ("1% growth, I don't see a dime; I'll be ok, I've got $3 billion back home...4% growth, I get $1 billion. That still leaves you up $119 billion.)

You can watch this video over and over again. This will always be the best compilation of Saturday Night Live.

Holiday Adventure of a childhood
I remember this anime from my own childhood, its a story about the daughter of a zoo manager/ exobiologist called Alice who travels to the third planet off Aldebaran to find many interesting and novel animals for the zoo. One of the most memorable is the twoheaded "Talkingbird" who says "Talkingbird is clever and wise"(I'm not sure about the exact translation in this version - this is just what I remember) but soon the bird starts to talk about the original three astronauts and an interesting story soon unfolds as they go to find out about it, with shady characters on their tracks they find jewel-covered turtoises and flowers which record and display their surroundings... All great stuff. A memorable story and one of the best soviet animation films, worth a watch to anyone interested in what kind of animation was created behind the Iron Curtain. The story is based on a children's story by Kir Bulytchev and he actually wrote seven or more stories, its just a pity they didn't animate the rest I guess. Hopefully someone will pick up the yarn, RTBS.
