Braddock: Missing in Action 3
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (23 May, 1990)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Aaron Norris
Starring: Chuck Norris
Average review score:

Braddock goes back to Vietnam one last time.
The final Missing in Action adventure is really just a remake of the first film, with a family oriented twist. When Colonel James Braddock (Chuck Norris) discovers that the girlfriend he believed dead is not only still alive, but that he had fathered a son as well, it takes him all of a millinanosecond to start preparing yet another single handed sneak attack on the PRV to get them out of there. Chuck's longtime stunt co-ordinator brother Aaron made his directing debut with this formula movie and he didn't do that bad of a job. Norris fans will find this hard to dislike.

Some of the best Chuck 'Hand to Hand' combat
Amongst all the generally ropey films that Chuck made with Cannon, this is one of the best.

Blistering action, excellent hand to hand combat scenes and pacey throughout, this film is not only essential for a Chuck fans but also for those who enjoy a no-holds-barred beat-em up with plenty of pyrotechnics for good measure.

What happen to Braddock after he had been caught by Vietcong
When Braddock and his family are half way through the jungle, they were being caught by the Vietcong. What happen to Braddock and his family, and did braddock ever got torture by the electricity?

Bullshot Crummond
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (10 June, 1997)
MPAA Rating: PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)

Very entertaining
A well done production but not as funny as the video of the stage production done in San Francisco some years ago and broadcast on local PBS television.

I'm looking for a copy of that broadcast.

One of the best comedies ever made!
This underrated classic is an example of english humour at it's very best. It contains quotes as "I'm a collector of rare insects", "Don't bother to salute", "three on a match" and "I propose mass global war!". If you see the film you'll understand them. Or maybe not.
Anyways it's a film I've seen many times over and over, and it's sad that it didn't launch a career like Monty Python's for these guys. (Monty Python is said to have put some money into this project (Handmade Films).) I know this cast have done two more films "Papa Pepe's Show" and "Tarnished Silver". I don't know where to get them.
And where can I get a hold of Bullshot on DVD?

Very Abundantly Funny!
A *very* British version of a (Pink Panther)/(Peter Sellers) type movie. Very entertaining, very funny. One of my all time favorate movies.

Danielle Steel's Once in a Lifetime
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (25 May, 1999)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: Michael Miller
Average review score:

a Rex Smith find!!!
For those Rex Smith fans out there, He is in this, but it is a short lived role(literally). He is charming and handsome as ever as Jeffrey Fields, husband to Lindsay Wagner(Bionic Woman), who plays Daphne.
Barry Bostwick, most known for his role of Brad, in Rocky Horror Picture Show, plays the doctor who falls in love with Daphne.
The story starts with the present day, Christmas Day, and when Daphne gets hit by a car, the story unravels and goes back to when she lost her first husband, Jeffrey, and her daughter in a house fire. She gives birth to Jeffrey's son, who turns out to be deaf. Daphne becomes a famous author, and raises her son on her own.
This is the first Danielle Steel movie I've watched, I did read the book a long time ago. It is one of my favorites by her. While I don't read her anymore because of sophmoric and formulatic plots, I still enjoy romantic movies with happy endings.
I really wanted to watch this for the snippet of Rex Smith as I have been a fan for more than half my life. It turned out to be a nice story, with the usual Steel plot twists with tragedy(even a glimpse of the twin towers), romance, drama, and tie it all up with a happy ending.

good movie
I thought this was a great movie. As usual Danielle Steel has done it again. Worth watch more than once.

By far this is one of Danielle steels Greatest flims
Last night I was watching my copy of once in a lifetime, Much to my dismay there were sense of world trade center in the movie I cant tell you how this has affected our life's with such sorrow, and in the movie it was business as always. Again Danielle steel has captured a piece of history.

Stranger Than Fiction
Released in VHS Tape by Unapix (17 October, 2000)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Eric Bross
A group of best buddies prepare themselves to dispose of a cop's naked corpse that just happens to be resting on the floor of nice guy Mackenzie Astin's (Jared Roth) apartment. Accident? Murder? Something even more sinister? It hardly matters as the cover-up only leads to more dead bodies, driving trust-fund idiot Natasha Gregson Wagner (far too convincing as a blathering bubblehead) completely loony: she starts lining up future victims with the enthusiasm of an assassin in training. That's just the first act of this darkly comic tale of murder and manipulation among a group of double-crossing pals. It's an often-clever film in a far too familiar genre of twisty, cynical, self-conscious, Tarantino-inspired thrillers. Dina Meyer is delicious as an ambitious singer and ostensible group leader who knows more than she's letting on, and Todd Field is a simmering and suspicious member of the cover-up, the only genuinely unpredictable element of the film. It's hardly original, but director Eric Bross has some fun with the story and injects enough sly black humor to make the film intriguing and entertaining to the end. --Sean Axmaker

Dina Meyer + Interesting Story = Gold
Before I even knew what the film was about, I wanted to see it. i am a huge fan of the beautiful and talented Ms. Meyer and I make it a point to see all of her projects. After discovering what the film was about, I became even more interested in seeing it. I finally saw it, and it far surpassed my expectations. what can I say? I love darkly comedic films such as this, and although the film was obviously inspired by Tarantino and his imitators, it happens to come off as fresh and original. I was thouroughly entertained throughout the entire film and I was surprised by several of the plot twists.

This film also had some great acting. Dina Meyer was, of course, superb. I was pleasantly surprised by both MacKenzie Astin and Todd Field. I had never heard of either of them, and I thought they both turned in fine performances. I was familiar with Natasha Gregson Wagner mainly from Modern Vampires (another great but not well known film) and I thought she was very impressive in ths film.

The DVD itself is nothing to call home about. It is pretty Bare Bones and fullscreen to boot. However, I'm just happy to have this gem preserved on DVD and I will take what I can get.

PS This movie had one of the coolest opening credit sequences I have seen in a while!

Strange Is Always Good
I knew absolutely nothing about this movie when I bought it and honestly, wasn't expecting what I got. This film should be more known than what it is because it is an incredible film. Yes, it is far from an original idea (how well do you know your friends?) and it plays with many non-original concepts, but the acting and storyline make up for whatever the movie lacks. Dina Meyer is fantastic in this film and for anyone who hasn't ever heard of her, please watch this and then everything else she's ever done. Todd Field is also remarkable, as is the rest of the cast. It goes to show that a film doesn't need big names to make a film good or an original idea. How the characters interact with each other alone is enough to make this movie great. The dialogue is funny at times and then makes your mouth drop. The only thing wrong with the DVD is that it's not in widescreen. Otherwise, buy this. Buy it now!

Great comedy-thriller!
This surprisingly funny thriller is nothing but a must-see for all people who like black comedies. The storyline circles around four friends who are getting involved with several more or less dead bodies.

The acting is good but Natasha Gregson Wagner stands out with a wonderful comic/comedy performance. She delivers 99 per cent of the laughs especially in the sequence where they try to get rid of the first body and in the scenes after the old ladies death.

Absolutely worth watching especially if you like Natasha!!!

Last but not least: don't forget to watch the ending credits!

Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends: Thomas Gets Tricked
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (07 June, 1990)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: David Mitton
From the Ringo Starr era (Ringo was eventually replaced by George Carlin as the train conductor), this program set on the island of Sodor features Thomas, Gordon, Edward, Percy, Toby, Annie, and Clarabell in "Thomas Saves the Day," "Thomas Gets Tricked," and "Edward Helps Out." This batch comprise good tales of cooperation, friendship, and loyalty, and the show's oddly dreamy if busy look is, as always, captivating for young viewers. --Tom Keogh

Tricked
I, like Thomas, was also tricked. If you're ever tricked, then it might be fun to see this.

It's a fun video for little kids, very educational. However, I don't believe it's better than taking some time to read and learn with your kid. Pry them away from the TV sometime and let them enjoy life!

A trick from Gordon!
This Thomas video is one of the greatest. One of my favorite stories is Thomas gets Tricked. What happnes is that Thomas teases Gordon, then Gordon wants to get back at Thomas. My next favorite story is Henry to the Rescue. Its about when Henry is stuck in a tunnel and Gordon burst his safety valve and Sr. Topham Hat lets Henry out of the tunnel and lets Henry and Edward take the train on time. Another one of my favorite stories is Edward Helps Out. Edwards gets to play with some trucks and soon Gordon gets stuck on a hill and Edward hlps him up the hill. At the ending Edward takes a long drink. His fireman says tomorrow he will take out his paint and give him
a coat of paint of blue and red stripes. Another good story is a Big Day for Thomas. What happens is that Thomas wants to pull a train. The only thing he gets to do is to set the coaches for the train. Next Henry was ill so he got to pull the train for him. They forgot to couple Thomas to the train and left the train behind. If you want the video I'm afraid its out of stock but you can buy it used.

video 1!
in THOMAS GETSD TRICKED meet thomas a cheeky fussy not realy useful engine and see how gordon tricks thomas into pushing a train. in EDWARD HELPS OUT edward helps gordon get down a hill when he gets stuck!in COME OUT HENRY henry the green engine runs into a tunnel and dosent come out for a while because hes shut up. in HENRY TO THE RESCUE gordon burst his safety valve and edward cant pull it untill henry comes out of the tunnel to help him. in A BIG DAY FOR THOMAS henry is sick and someone needs to pull the long train thomas gets to pull it ... with unexpected results. in TROUBLE FOR THOMAS edward and thomas are alowed to pull cars and thomas has a great big BUMP!in THOMAS SAVES THE DAY thomas is working to make up for his big BUMP!and james the red engine has an accident. and thomas rescues him and he gets a branch line!

Nice, Cute Children's Film
This is a nice movie. There is good music, a solid plot, and it has fun adventure. There is a sad part, but the rest of the movie is fine. Children will thoroughly enjoy it! I like watching this masterpiece from time to time.

Napoleon and Samantha is a wonderful movie.
I have watched this movie only once in my life time, when I was about 4 years old and I was visiting some family members in John Day, Oregon (where the movie was filmed). I loved it so much that I remember everything about it and I'm glad that I have finally found a copy so that I can enjoy watching it with my children.

Fun for the Family....
I was priveledged to see this movie made in 1971. It was filmed in the community I grew up in (John Day Oregon). It's a joy to watch it so many years later and be able to see the town I new when I was 11. I'm biased, but I think it's a wonderful family film and it's fun seeing Michael Douglas and Jodi Foster so early in their careers.

The Private Navy of Sgt. O'Farrell
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (15 February, 1995)
MPAA Rating: G (General Audience)
Director: Frank Tashlin
Average review score:

A surprisingly sub-par military comedy from Bob Hope
It is rather ironic that Bob Hope (who turned 100 today) provided so much entertainment for American troops in the field from World War II to Vietnam and beyond yet could only come up with this less than stellar military comedy. Bob plays the titular Sgt. O'Farrell, the power behind the throne on a U.S. base during World War II. When the base turns dry, the result of a Japanese torpedo and unsympathetic officeers, the sarge comes up with a plan, involving his own private navy, to get beer to the troops. O'Farrell is helped by Calvin Coolidge Ishimura (Mako), a Japanese deserter hiding out on the island. Once the boys are liquored up, the next goal becomes female companionship. The good news is that this brings Gina Lollobrigida to the island; the bad news is that it also brings Phyllis Diller, who plays Nellie Krause. She takes a liking to O'Farrell, which makes it difficult for him to go after Gina (or "Maria" as she is called--but no name on earth is as good as Gina Lollobrigida). Hope and Diller worked fine in their first film together, "Eight on the Lam," but not this time around as she relentlessly pursues O'Farrell. There is some good slapstick shtick and good lines here and there, but overall it is rather uneven. Is this the best Bob Hope comedy film ever? No, that remains "Paleface," even above the Road pictures. But it is not as bad as "The Iron Petticoat" with Katharine Hepburn. Be glad I do not let anybody see my copy of that film. "The Private Navy of Sgt. O'Farrell" is worth one look, but I would not consider it worth repeat viewings.

Hope fan
This movie is so cornball that I just love it. Bob and Phyllis together are great, and so is Jeffrey Hunter. Light hearted goofy fun! Wish it were cleaned up and put in widescreen though cause the ocean island setting is very scenic.

Leonard... Get Real!!
Of all the Bob Hope Movies during the sixties, this was one of the best (even though I loved them all). It had the slapstick with Hope and Diller playing off each other, the friendly Japanese soldier (Kinda like McHale's Navy TV Series), and just a light hearted plot that wasn't offensive to anyone. Leonard, you must have been sleeping thru this one, because you usually like the easy going movies like I do)... I just wish they would release the others, such as Boy Did I get A Wrong Number and Critic's Choice on DVD... Enjoy the fun everyone!!

Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends: Daisy
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (26 August, 1993)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: David Mitton
The titular Daisy is a diesel rail car with big fluttering eyelashes and attitude. Railway owner Sir Topham Hatt brings her in to substitute for an injured Thomas, but the "highly sprung" gal finds the engine shed too smelly and hauling milk cars beneath her. In fact, it's not until the second story, "Percy's Predicament," in which the little green engine is pushed into collision, that Daisy shapes up, catches the cooperation bug, and helps him out. In other stories, Edward and Thomas rescue an old-fashioned traction engine on his way to a scrap yard, Duck the Great Western Engine talks Henry into taking his dusty old tenders, and Percy boasts about surviving a water accident only to find himself chin-deep in the wet stuff again--and in need of a floating crane. The engines--and kid viewers--learn that bragging doesn't pay, teamwork does, and there's nothing like a good action sequence. --Kimberly Heinrichs
Average review score:

Daisy
This tape was stupid and cool. I'll tell you about the first story.

Story 1: Daisy (a replacement of Thomas) is a rude, witty, and stuck up diesel. She complained about one of the sheds and made Thomas's coaches feel bad and Toby's coach feel bad and won't pull cars and at the end still felt she was the best. Countinued... in second story.

Good video
This Thomas video is excellent. Stories as seen on "Shining Time Station".I like Percy takes a Plunge. This was by George Carlin. In the Best of Percy. It was narrated by Ringo Starr. Good video. I liked all the episodes. I have 3 favorite episodes in the video. A New Friend For, Thomas, Percy takes a Plunge, and Percy's Perdicament.

A Must-See for the Little Thomas Addicts
A Thomas fan once, a Thomas Fan for life--or that is how I feel about my son's favorite character. This collection of Thomas stories is great. A direct interpretation from the original stories, it brings the characters from the book alive. My son loves it. On a separate note, the live animation and lack of a lot of special effects is a refreshing change from a lot of the other kids movies out there. It lets kids' imagination to develop and that is why I think that my son watches this tape over and over and over....
