James Goes Buzz Buzz
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (23 February, 1994)
Average review score:

See Thomas' Friends in actionThis video is one of the best "Thomas the Tank Engine" videos, because it includes a lot of Thomas' friends like James, Bertie the Bus,Percy, Edward and Gordon among others...GEORGE CARLIN is the Narrator for the stories on this tape.
James Goes Buzz Buzz and Other Thomas StoriesI wanted to get the video because I liked the title, and it is a good video! See what happens when a little rockslide causes big demolition at Bill and Ben's quarry, and when they have trouble using the turntable. Watch what happens when Percy and James get in "jammed" situations:{...], when a new double-decker bus named Bulgy causes trouble on the railway, and when one of the vicar's beehives from the Vicorage Orchard breaks and covers James' boiler (and gets stung on the nose by one of them!) See Bertie and Edward have a chase when Thomas' fireman doesn't come to work, and Gordon traveling on the Branch Line and Edward on the Main Line.
The story stops are: James Goes Buzz Buzz; One Good Turn; Bertie's Chase; Heroes; Bulgy; Wrong Road; and Percy, James, and the Fruitful Day.

This is a good video. I hope you'll like it.
A Must-See for the Little Thomas AddictsA Thomas fan once, a Thomas Fan for life--or that is how I feel about my son's favorite character. This collection of Thomas stories is great. A direct interpretation from the original stories, it brings the characters from the book alive. My son loves it. On a separate note, the live animation and lack of a lot of special effects is a refreshing change from a lot of the other kids movies out there. It lets kids' imagination to develop and that is why I think that my son watches this tape over and over and over....

Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends: Sing Along & Stories
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertain (05 March, 2002)

My 2 year old loves this videoThis is the first Thomas video that we have purchased, and my 2 year old just loves it. He is in that "lets watch it again, and again" mode. The songs are simple and catchy. The only thing I can find wrong-it is a short video (about a 1/2 hour long).
Sing Along & StoriesI have almost all the tapes except for two others. I never really enjoyed this tape when I got it but now it's one of my favorites! The songs are very good and you can sing along with the tape(or DVD) because the words are at the bottem with a cloud bouncing on the words to tell you which word to say. The stories are better. They both center around of being patient(which I'm sure you parents want to have). This is a tape for all Thomas fans!
Peep!Peep!I have all the Thomas videos, but this one is one of my favorites out of all of them. The contents are:Thomas'Anthem,Let's have a race,Gone Fishing,Toby,Don't Judge a Book by its Cover,Island Song,Really Useful Engine,Peter Sam and the Refreshment Lady and Bulldog.

Silly ThomasThomas the Tank Engine is very funny he never drives me crazy. Thomas comes in the station master's house and the mother gets angry at Thomas for ruining their breakfast. Donald & Douglas rescues Thomas. Episodes Thomas Comes To Breakfast, Dirty Works, Diesel's Deviouse Deed, A Close Shave, Thomas, Percy & The Coal, & Cows and Trouble in the Shed are cool. I am a big fan of Thomas The Tank Engine, SpongeBob SquarePants, and more great TV Shows.

Average review score:

Mathnet (from Square One Television)I love this show and this its quite entertaining having George and Pat Tuesday investgating and figuring out on Math. I watch this show on Square One TV on PBS and now on Noggin. I hope they re-released those episodes on video and DVD.
Great TapeAnother fantastic work from CTW. I teach 5th grade math and this is one of the few tapes I use. My students beg to watch this over and over again. I really wish there were more of these tapes available for home use.
Wish there were more tapes!Mathnet was a fantastic show, and this episode was a great highlight of the Pat Tuesday era. If only more became available...

Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends - Better Late Than Never
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (23 January, 1991)
Average review score:

The Best Thomas Video EVER !!In my opinion, this is the best Thomas video of them all. In the story Better Late Than Never, the viaduct is repared and causing delayed trains. In Pop Goes The Diesel, Diesel has trouble pulling some old frieight cars. In Diesel's Devious Deed , Diesel tells lies about Duck to send him away. In A Close Shave For Duck, Duck crashes into a barber shop and gets covered with shaving cream. In Gordon Takes A Dip , Gordon is foolish and falls in a muddy ditch. Ha Ha Ha! I still laugh hard at this story even after seeing it many times. In Down The Mine, Thomas is careless and drives into a mine. In the last story, The Runaway, Thomas's brakes fail and he runs away. This is a great tape.
and soin BETTER LATE THEN NEVER thomas complains about engines dawdaleing on viaducts untill he becomes a bus for bertie. in POP GOES THE DIESEL a diesel pulls some wrong cars for duck and a song is born. in DIESELS DIVEOUS DEED diesel tells lies to the trucks and sir toppam hat beleaves them! in A CLOSE SHAVE FOR DUCK duck rescues a accident then crashes into a barber shop and gets shaved. In these tales from the island of Sodor, Thomas and friends welcome Skarloey home from the menders, and Oliver and Toad teach some trucks a lesson. Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends: Thomas Breaks the Rules
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (27 September, 1990)
Average review score:

About THOMAS BREAKS THE RULESIn THOMAS BREAKS THE RULES, watch how Thomas doesn't have cowcatchers and sideplates. The police thinks every engine should have them. Finally, Sir Topham Hatt gives up, and decides that Thomas should have those things. But Thomas cries, "Everyone will laugh, sir. They'll say I look like a TRAM." Soon, Sir Topham Hatt needs a TRAM engine to help, so he gets help from Toby. Toby has cowcatchers and sideplates. In A COW ON THE LINE, watch how some cows break Edward's train. Gordon and Henry think they can handle it, but when a cow is on the line, it wouldn't shoo. Do you know why? Because she lost her calf. When her calf is retures, Gordon and Henry feel silly. "Well, well, well," chuckles Edward. "Two big engines afriad of a cow." Gordon says that they were not afraid, because they didn't want the cow to get hurt. Meet Harold the Helicopter in PERCY PROVES A POINT, and Duck the Great Western Engine in DUCK TAKES CHARGE. You'll be surprised of how the old iron catches James in OLD IRON. See how Thomas & Percy have trouble in coal in DOUBLE TROUBLE, and how James tells Toby that he never sees his paint dirty...until he runs into two car wagons in JAMES IN A MESS.
Thomas Breaks the Rules & Other Thomas StoriesThis is a great video! One of the oldest too. The third video in the series.Storyteller is Ringo Starr.Although, they don't sell this video anymore, along with Tenders and turntables(video 3), and Better late than never(video 5)also told by Ringo Starr. The stories are:
THOMAS BREAKS THE RULES=Thomas gets in trouble with the police for not having cow catchers or side plates. Sir Toppham Hatt can't argue with the police, so he brings in Toby the Tram Engine
A COW ON THE LINE=Edward is pulling freight cars when some cows break through his train.Gordon and Henry think its funny, until they run into a cow themselves, in which they cannot shoo, so they feel rather silly.
OLD IRON=James thinks Edward is slow, until James is the runaway train, edward catches up to him, stopping him.
DOUBLE TROUBLE=Thomas and Percy both end up having accidents with coal, and end up blaming eachother for their accidents, until they make up and become friends again.
JAMES IN A MESS=James is mean to Toby, and says that he never has accidents, until he has one of his own, and Toby and Percy come to his rescue.
DUCK TAKES CHARGE=Percy can't handle all of his work alone so Duck comes in to help him.Gordon, James and Henry make fun of him and order him about ,until Duck and Percy take a stand.
PERCY PROVES A POINT=There is a new helicopter on the Island of Sodor named Harold, who thinks railways are slow and out of date, until Percy races him and beats him.
Well I hope that you enjoyed reading my review of Thomas Breaks the Rules!

Why Don't They Sell This Video Anymore?Man, this is a really good video. No wonder they don't sell it anymore more. They don't sell Better Late Than Never and Tenders And Turntables either.Well, I have Tenders And Turntables, my friend Brian gave it to me.And he also had the old Thomas The Tank Engine videos but he accidentally sold them cause he never watched them.I think they should put those old thomas videos that they don't sell anymore back in stock again.Don't You?

Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends - Trust Thomas
Released in VHS Tape by Anchor Bay Entertainment (25 February, 2003)
Average review score:

A Good Thomas TapeThis is one of the first George Carlin narrations and it's pretty good. Mavis is a feisty diesel at first but in the later tapes she is nice. In Trust Thomas James plays sick and Thomas gets in trouble doing his work. In Mavis Toby has problems with the new diesel. In Toby's Tightrope Mavis has to save Toby from falling of a bridge. In No Joke for James James gets in trouble when he lies to Gordon so he can pull coaches. In Percy's Promise Percy agrees to take Thomas's train but has to plunge though water to get them home. In Henry's Forest Henry helps to repair his forest after a storm. In The Trouble With Mud Gordon can't pull his train because he is too dirty.
Overall this is a good tape but it is not the best one.

my son gives it 5 stars and i give it 4 1/2 stars.this is one of the thomas videos that we almost agree on--it is a very good video, with lots of different messages (cooperation, sharing, working together, be good to your word, etc.) and it is far less annoying to listen to than some other tapes... george carlin does a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life; henry's forest is a particularly poignant tale. the one complaint i have about this and really all the thomas tapes is that there is no positive female character in the entire series: mavis is young and doesn't listen to anyone; annie and clarabel complain and worry too much; caroline complains and doesn't like to work; lady doesn't talk but is just pretty; and old slow coach is, well, old and retired; etc. in this video, this particular aspect seems especially obvious to me, but probably not to 3 to 6 year olds.
Trust Thomas and Other StoriesThis is a great video! Even though I've only had it for 2 months, it is one of my favorites among Thomas videos.
In "Trust Thomas", Bertie's road didn't get mended, and he said you couldn't trust an engine. When Thomas has an accident, he explains to Edward, and Bertie changes his mind. In "Mavis", Mavis, a young diesel who works at the quarry, learns that if you don't take advice, it can cause trouble. In "Toby's Tightrope", Mavis wants to go on Toby's line. When she tells some freight cars to bump her, Toby takes the freight cars. When Toby goes near a "tightrope" bridge, Mavis soon becomes really useful. In "No Joke For James", James boasts about how useful he is. When he plays an impractical joke, he wonders if he will ever be useful again. In "Percy's Promise", Thomas asks Percy to take home the Vicar's Sunday School in Annie and Clarabel, and Percy promises. Then Harold and Edward warn Percy that a storm is coming. Will Percy Be able to take the train home? In "Henry's Forest", A storm destroys Henry's favorite part of the island-the forest. Watch Terence and Trevor make the forest look better so Henry won't be sad anymore. In "The Trouble With Mud", Gordon gets all covered in mud. He doesn't get to pull coaches, he looks bad- that's what Gordon thinks is the trouble with mud. My favorite story is Percy's Promise.
