Average review score:

El Cid
The best acting that Mr. Heston has ever accomplished. The character of El Cid came alive on the screen with such excitement and realism. He put his heart in this character, and the result was magic. A time, a place and a great hero was honored by the choice of Mr. Heston to play this role. The role was made for him and echoes his own personality amd strength.

Very good, but not the best
I think that the plot of the story is very good. The girl could have been a little better. There was a lot of action and suspence. A note to the movie directors, make it more obvious as where the story is taking place. Overall I think the movie is second best, next to For Your Eyes Only.

Review of JUDGMENT
This is a very important work, dealing with the troubling and sensitive subject of sexual abuse--within the church. This was a courageous drama, and everyone involved in the making of this film is to be commended for tackling not only a disturbing subject, but the controversy which occurs when the perpetrator of sexual abuse is a trusted religious figure. Thank you, to the makers of this film. Anyone needing affirmation, who has suffered abuse themselves or is acquanted with an abuse survivor, should view this film.

This is a very good movie with James Garner and Clint Eastwood. It also has some comedy at the end. If you like Mavericks, you'll love this one.

Only the Valiant
Released in VHS Tape by Republic Studios (08 February, 1999)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: Gordon Douglas
Average review score:

TVTV Looks at The Academy Awards
Released in VHS Tape by our‘ (01 November, 1991)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Directors: Michael Shamberg, Allen Rucker, Tom Weinberg, Hudson Marquez, and Megan Williams
Average review score:

TVTV's documentary satire on the 1976 Oscars
"TVTV Looks at The Academy Awards" is a mixture of documentary and comedy as the TVTV crew gets all dressed up to cover the 1976 Oscars. Before there was "Entertainment Tonight" or "E!" or much besides Army Archer, TVTV took viewers behind the scenes to follow several nominees (Michael Douglas, Steven Spielberg, Lee Grant, etc.) on the big day of the event. Meanwhile, Lily Tomlin appears as a middle-American housewife watching the Oscars at home on the tube, getting off a series of wry observations that repeatedly puncture the festivities in Tinseltown. (Think more of "Best in Show" than "Spinal Tap".)

TVTV was formed in 1972 by Michael Shamberg, Megan Williams, Tom Weinberg, and Allen Rucker to provide alternative coverage fo the 1972 Presidential nominating conventions. They did the Democrats as "The World's Largest TV Studio" and the Republicans as "Four More Years." Despite the comic thrust, TVTV did represent the New Journalism while creating its unique version of documentary satire before disbanding in 1979.

War of the Roses

Marriage never works!
This is possibly one of my best movies of all time. The fact that a wonderful marriage started out with a huge family house and nice cars always meant that disaster at some point in the marriage would strike.Michael Douglas is at his very best in this film and when his wife one day turns round to him and says " Everytime i see your face i want to smash your face in" he has more than a battle on his hands to keep his estate. Danny Devito also plays a part as his wisdom is needed as a lawyer to sort out the messed up situation. This film is very gripping and the humour of the film is tremendous. A must see and buy film straight away, it will under no cicumstances dissappoint you unless you are currently filing for a divorce!

Jaclyn Smith : Sheldon's Favorite Angel!
Jaclyn Smith and Robert Wagner is always a "couple" worth a look and with this tv-miniseries, definitely worth collecting. Based on Sidney Sheldon's bestselling novel, this highly rated miniseries, released in 1988 is absolutely engaging from start to finish. It's not the type of film who's going to win an EMMY award but it's the type of movie you are going to enjoy like a Sheldon book plus with star performnce of the two leads.

Smith and Wagner should star in another film as a couple because they are so wonderful in the screen --one word-- Classy!!!

Can't wait to see the dvd version....
