Billy Madison
Released in VHS Tape by Universal Studios (27 May, 1997)
MPAA Rating: PG-13 (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Director: Tamra Davis
Starring: Adam Sandler
For Adam Sandler fans only, this dopey comedy features the former Saturday Night Live star as an overindulged rich guy whose father insists he repeat grades 1 through 12 before taking over the family business. The scenario is perfect for Sandler's infantile leanings (which he has fortunately outgrown in more recent movies), and for the most part the jokes about being too old and too big for the experiment are obvious. Chris Farley and Steve Buscemi turn up in uncredited cameo appearances, but otherwise the film is pretty dismissible, except for those diehards who can't get enough of Sandler. --Tom Keogh

You gotta like that
Anyone who says this movie isn't funny as hell is either too old, too stuffy, or just ashamed to admit how much they loved it! There's no need to explain how funny Adam Sandler is. He was even funny on the Cosby show(remember as Theo's friend in high school?) Funny looking anyway! And then SNL, especially Opera Man, Cajun Man, and "Give me some candy!" But Billy Madison is what really showed me how funny he really is. The humor may be directed mostly for a younger crowd (like 7), but it is a good coming of age story about a kid who happens to be 30!! All in all, if you haven't seen it, watch it. You'll love it, and look out for that damn penguin! "Peace, I'm outta here!"

I KNOW IT'S DUMB! I KNOW! BUT I LOVE IT ANYWAY!
This is still my favorite of all of Adam Sandler's filmefforts. WHY, you ask? Because of it's LACK of a script. This moviedoesn't even try to create substance, character or plot! All it is, is Adam Sandler acting so lovably loopy that you can't help but crack a smile or let out a large guffaw. Sandler's other films (that I DIDN'T like) like "The Waterboy" and "Big Daddy" tried to be sort of serious in some parts and tried to be witty when in fact it wasn't.

"Billy Madison" is all about STUPIDITY. Heck, it's about a 28 year old guy going through grade school! Whatta ya expect, ya know! There are classically hysterical moments:

"O'Doyle rules! " "Shampoo is better! I help clean the hair! Conditioner is better! I make the hair silky and smooth! Oh, really fool! Really! . . .Stop looking at me swan." "No, I will not make out with you! "

And of course, who could forget Steve Buscemi putting on lipstick? Or the late great Chris Farley making out with a penguin. Or those stupid graduation parties! It's so stupid but sooooo funny for some reason. Watch this comedy today. END

Adam Sandlers BEST
This tops my list of Adam Sandler movies by a long shot. This is absolutely his funniest movie. I laugh from beginning to end every single time I watch it. And everyone I know quotes lines from it constantly. Yeah, it's a dumb movie - but it's supposed to be.. and that's what makes it so funny.
Adam Sandler plays Billy Madison - the bum son of a hotel-tycoon-millionaire who wants to prove to his dad that he is capable of taking over the family business. So, he packs up his books and goes back to school, determined to complete each grade 1st thru 12th in within two weeks each. Along the way, he finds love in his hot 3rd grade teacher, Veronica Vaughn, makes friends with a bunch of elementary school kids, and has to save his fathers company from being given to the evil Eric.
Everyone should have this movie as a part of their DVD collection. It is a must have!

Funny as hell
This movie is funny as hell it had me from beginnig to end if you don't have this movie pick it up you won't regret it. In fact its cheap now so thats another reason to buy this movie.

Pee-your-pants funny.
Norm Macdonald is naturally funny. His sense of humor brightly shined through the flimsy material he had to work with on Saturday Night Live. Here, Norm has a movie's length to display what SNL doled out in small nuggets.

Norm plays Mitch, a guy who can always think of a simple, swift, and cruel way of punishing people who wrong him, but isn't good at much else. When forced to come up with a $50,000 bribe to get his best friend's father a new heart, he decides to capitalize on his special gift. The plot works well enough to not take away from how hilarious this movie is.

Norm is, of course, horrendously funny. His delivery is so brilliant that he can turn the worst jokes into gold. They also incorporate his "note to self" jokes into the movie. Artie Lang, Chris Farley and Don Rickles are also hilarious.

Summary: funny funny funny funny funny.

Seriously underrated movie
I hate being let down by comedies. I really do. When you see a movie as creatively funny as this, you just have to admire it. I don't know if so many people know about it, but it's defintely one of the top five funniest movies I've ever seen. I think if you like Top Secret, you might like this.

Revenge is sweet (and surprisingly affordable)
Looking for that crude, raunchy, extremely funny comedy to fill the void that is your life? Well, look no further, partner!

While I missed this in the theaters (probably because it was so unmercifully panned), I was really pleased to find out my money wasn't wasted on purchasing this DVD.

Norm MacDonald stars as Mitch Weaver, a guy who just can't seem to find his calling in life. After losing yet another menial job, his girlfriend kicks him out, throwing all his stuff out of the apartment window into the street.

Mitch goes to stay with his best friend Sam (Artie Lange) and we soon learn that Sam's dad, played by Jack Warden, has a bad heart and unless Sam can come up with $50,000 in a relatively short amount of time, his dad will die. Mitch agrees to help Sam, as not only is Sam his friend, but Sam's dad was like a father to Mitch while he was growing up, due to the fact that his real father wasn't around.

After some hilarious attempts to raise cash, Mitch stumbles on an idea for a business by accident. Seems Mitch has a real flair for getting back at people who step on him, so he decides to open a revenge for hire business, Dirty Work, to help those who can't help themselves, for a fee, of course. The scene where they're hire to deal with a noisy neighbor had my friends and I rolling on the floor.

The business isn't going well, until they get commissioned by Travis Cole (Christopher McDonald) to trash a property in order to condemn it, to which they'll get a large sum of money. Thing is, they do the work, but find out that Cole misrepresented his reasons for wanting the property condemned, and they soon find out they made a big mistake, and now Cole stiffs them on the payment. This sets up the ultimate revenge plan, leading to a great payoff.

Look for Chevy Chase, Don Rickles, and Gary Coleman in small but funny roles. Also in this movie is the late Chris Farley, who is about as funny as I've ever seen him. I was surprised to learn that this movie was directed by Bob Saget, you know, the guy from that Full House TV show?

If you liked movies like Kingpin, Dumb and Dumber, or Happy Gilmore, then you'll get a kick out of this one.

REVENGE IS SWEEEEEEET ........ SO IS THIS MOVIE
Dirty Work is a movie about revenge.2 boys best friends or shall i say brothers growing up taking stuff from everyone but they are always the last ones laughing.

As they need to raise $50 000 for there fathers heart transplant in 2 weeks as they run out of jobs until they find out that they can make a fortune of doing what they do best, revenge, do other peoples DIRTY WORK.

Let me tell you they do some hilarious stuff from hiding dead fish in peoples houses from putting hookers in the boot of a car during a live car dealers commercial. It has some priceless scenes where you will rewind to watch over and over again.

As you can tell you will get some laughs, NOOOOOOooooooo not just laughs but belly laughs.Norm Macdonald his hilarious as is Chris Farley(R.I.P) and Jack Warden. The movie is very rewatchable and will leave you laughing everytime, so if you are a fan of Billy Madison go for it, if you are a fan of comedy i suggest you go for it as it is one of the best!

HIGHLY RECOMENDED

Screwed
Released in VHS Tape by Universal Studios (22 May, 2001)
MPAA Rating: PG-13 (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Directors: Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander
Screwed was another nail in the coffin of former Saturday Night Live wisecracker Norm MacDonald, following his dismal previous film, Dirty Work. However, while Screwed isn't particularly funny (the jokes about dentures, dog poop, and dead bodies are pretty much as old as the hills), the plot exerts a perverse interest; for most of the movie, it's genuinely unpredictable. MacDonald plays Willard, the butler-chauffer, all-purpose flunky of Mrs. Crock, the wealthy, penny-pinching owner of a pastry company. Fed up with her abuse, Willard and his friend Rusty (David Chappelle from Blue Streak and 200 Cigarettes) connive to kidnap her dog Muffin. But Muffin escapes and returns home; the ransom note is assumed to be for Willard himself. Rusty and Willard run with the idea, sending in a videotape of himself being held prisoner. When a detective starts getting a little too close, they panic and decide to fake Willard's death... Okay, none of it makes much sense, but in a world of ridiculously formulaic movies that slavishly follow every screenwriting cliché, Screwed seems like a brief oasis of narrative invention. Of course, it still isn't funny. And by the end, it's lost whatever spark of imagination that got it started. Too bad. It's written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, the screenwriters responsible for Problem Child, but also for Ed Wood and The People vs. Larry Flynt--they should stick to biographies. --Bret Fetzer

The only thing screwed about this movie...
...is that it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. If your a fan of comedies such as Meet the Parents (Yawn!), Scary Movie* (In the name of all that is good and deacent, get it away!), and Big Daddy (Burn the TV and VCR! They've both been befouled!), then this isn't the movie for you. If you are a fan of the comedic styles of the Three Stooges, the late Chris Farley, and, of course, Norm MacDonald, then this is the movie to watch. It started out as a better version of Lost & Found and evolved into it's own movie. Take my advice, the scene where Norm get's muged by those two little kids is well worth watching the movie. I'm still trying to view a copy of Dirty Work, I havn't seen it yet and I want to! This is a good example of how great a Norm MacDonald movie can be.

*I'm well aware of how bad of an example Scary Movie is, but it's a great example of how unfunny a movie can get if you take this type of humor too far.

A Very Stupid Movie...
But I love stupid movies! It isn't just a stupid movie though, it is a stupid funny movie. The whole plot is very humorous. Norm is a funny guy! It doesn't make sense to me why all the critics seem to hate it- I think it is a really good movie. The comedy in it isn't neccessarily fall-out-of-your-seat and laugh funny but it is a lot of fun to watch. If you were a fan of Norm from when he was on SNL, you will probably like this movie a lot- just like I do. I easily granted it the 5 out of 5 stars.

funniest movie ever
this movie is so hilarious. norm macdonald and dave chapelle are hilarious. and you cant forget danny devito. he is so funny. his perfomance is better than twins i swear
